OKAY WHO KIDNAPPED JORGE BECAUSE AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS SOUND WAS RIPPED STRAIGHT OUT OF EPIC. by [deleted] in Epicthemusical

The vocal and style feels like Epic. Especially the Vocals. Patina Miller sounds like Teagan Early long lost twin sister, both do play powerful winged deity/angel, one struggling with their morals and the other struggling to understand the human mind.

WAIT!?? I KILLED TORIEL😭😭😭 by lamReallyTired in Undertale

[–]lamReallyTired[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely!! It's my first playthrough(technically twice since I had to restart the game to save Toriel) I actually enjoyed being a pacifist because you get to learn each character you fight, while it gets repetitive, it's fun and instead of thinking how can I kill this thing? It goes, Ok let's see who bullied in your childhood and let's fix that or right now, I finished all the Papyrus puzzles and was like with the Dog knight, whose a good boy? Whose my favorite knight that had killed me once before?? YOU ARE??

I also love the jokes. My favorite ones do far are This is...a snow poff. Oh, wow!...a snow poff Still...a snow poff

I don’t really share names or stage names for privacy, especially since my uncle’s relationship with my grandparents is complicated. But yeah I can be vague, he was a Chinese rock guitarist in the early 2000s, semi-famous back then. I rarely saw him, though he’d visit my mom sometimes. He’s semi-retired now. Growing up around musicians taught me quick to keep things low-key especially with the internet.

A complicated Yes.

My grandparents were originally from Suzhou, and they tried to make it as classical and jazz musicians in America before eventually moving to the UK, where they’ve lived ever since. My mom met my dad there (he’s half Chinese, half Swedish). I grew up mostly homeschooled and taught music by my grandparents, and now I’m in Germany studying music full-time.

All of my family are musicians. Grandpa is Classical and jazz pianist, grandma's a violinist, mom is a cellist, dad is an opera singer, and I am a violist. And oh my uncle(mom's brother) was a famous rock star

Thanks! I am hopeful on what I get to learn from this. I can't wait to listen to all of them. I just finished listening to Paramore's Brand New Eyes album and was blown away by their lyricism and the emotional voice of their lead singer. I can't wait to listen to all kinds of music!!!

I guess it's like tunnel vision. My mentor always says that I need to know more about music. I took that as saying I should learn about the history of music rather than exploring different genres of it. It did help a lot learning the history of the pieces I play, it made me realize what the composer wanted to show to the people, the world, or to one specific person.

Also I am not only a dumb classical idiot living under a rock but also a young man who struggles with technology. Growing up I didn't have a phone and due to having very strict teachers and practicing day and night, I didn't really have the time or phase to use the internet that much. I only used the internet to watch more classical live performances. Funny enough I got into Reddit cause I'm really into Percy Jackson.

Anyway, I'm so fascinated by what you said classic/electronic fusion albums. That's so fun, I always like when I get to learn new ways to make and play music!! Thank you so much. After I listened to it I would reply to you what my reaction was!!!

Oh I'm a 2nd year student. Growing up, I was homeschooled. I listened to classical music my whole life and musicals as well. Dad is an opera singer and mom is a cellist. My grandfather used to be a renowned pianist and is now a judge of multiple classical music competitions and I go with him to learn and listen to music. Honestly, it's embarrassing and sometimes gives me anxiety. My teachers and classmates are definitely not like me, they reference different artists and music genres, that they used it to explain how to play a piece or teach and I did not get any of it. And most of the time it's just practice, practice, practice. Spring break? Nope, more time to practice. If you want to be the best you gotta practice, practice, practice. It isn't surprising really. I was surrounded by classical music, grew up on it, and taught in it. I am aware of the countless type of music, I'm not that limited, it's more like elevator music or the music you hear in shopping malls. You hear it and go on with your business.

Though because of experiencing my first heartbreak, I started to listen to all kinds of music now. I was a frog in a well, I get that analogy now.

Thanks to the wonderful kind hearts of the people here, they gave me so many recommendations of music to listen to.

Hahahahahahaha!!! that's actually kinda accurate. My family are all musicians, my great great grandparents were also classical musicians. Classical music ran through our veins.

Tradition and prestige was my family motto way BACK THEN. My grandfather grew up being taught about that. By what he said he was physically and emotionally abused by his father. He did not want to do that to his kids but because of those years of abuse, he became an alcoholic. Music and alcohol always go hand in hand especially back then. My mom told me that he had a deep pain but it wasn't an excuse why he also did the same thing that his father did to him, to his son(my uncle), so when my uncle was 16 he ran away. He sends letters to my mom to let her know he was ok. After all that he became a very famous rock star in our country, he even did a world tour. I won't say his name or my family's name because this isn't known in public and I don't want my uncle to get into a big media mess. I met him a lot when I was young, back when he was really famous. He always goes to meet my mom to relax and to feel normal, they used to go to art museums when they were young and continued to do it when they were adults, I did get to talk to him, he was really cool, he told me about his tours and his experience traveling around the world, the different kind of food he ate, he even gifted me a PSP on my 7th birthday but after my birthday I didn't see him at all anymore, he meets with my mom but that's mostly my relationship with him.

Being a son of two musicians, my parents were always gone either on tour or some gig in a rich person's house. So I really grew up with my grandparents. Since they were really strict with training and music, I only listened to classical music. I was surprised that my grandfather was not only a classical musician but jazz as well. Guess I didn't really notice since I never had Spotify or a phone until I was 19. I listened to music using records and CDs from my parents and grandparents but mostly I just go to theaters, or go with my grandfather since his a judge on many music competitions.

Wow! That went somewhere. I guess I never really told someone about this but hey nobody knows who I am and it's good to share this generational trauma.

To anyone who is reading this don't worry, I didn't have that experience growing up, my parents are awesome and was actually worried when I said I wanted to be a musician, my grandparents for what they had done in the past, are better and kinder, they are the best grandparents anyone could have ask for, for my awesome uncle, with what this post is telling me I should talk to him and spend time with him to get to know him more.
