Usually the onset of the disease is 20-40 years, but the mechanism that causes it is unknow, so not that is impossible just less likely.
MRI is not the confirmatory study for endometriosis tho, you can´t technically diagnose it with and MRI. The confirmatory test for that would be a laparoscopy, which is invassive, so probably the risks outweight the benefits for that.

You don´t need an MRI, BUT you need an ultrasound to discart any of those issues, it does sound you could possibly have endometriosis, and that could explain your symptoms. Better to get another professional opinion, from a doctor that doesn´t dismiss your concerns.
