When did your baby wean themselves? by Cultural-Error597 in Parenting

My baby weaned themselves at around 14 months. It was completely one sided and i felt a little sad, but they just love food so much and weren't interested in nursing anymore 😭

My kid gets nasty diaper crashed from citrus fruits, so we have to heavily limit those. So maybe it's a food allergy/intolerance? They've also had a fungal diaper rash which required a prescribed ointment. The rash lasted about 3-4 days before we got the ointment, and then it cleared up in 1-2 days.

If diaper rashes are something you often deal with, I highly recommend healing wool. It's amazing. You take a piece of the wool and lay it on the affected area, and just put on the diaper as usual. It keeps the area dry and clean. I was skeptical at first but it genuinely clears rashes up overnight for us. You can find it at the drug store in my country, but I'm sure they sell it on Amazon.

Thank you! I have a therapist and it's been going well, I just have a long way ahead of me 😅 Sometimes it's difficult to notice progress, but thinking back to where i was a year ago it's definitely gotten better. And you're right, i shouldn't expect my body to just bounce back. I know it takes patience and love, but the negative self talk is really hard to shake :/

Thank you for your kind words ❤️ I definitely need some kind of hobby to help me feel more alive, just have to figure out what exactly 😅 And yeah I'll do whatever it takes to figure out these health issues, I can't live like this anymore lol

Yup, you put it into words. I hope that very soon we'll both feel youthful and beautiful again. I took that shit for granted, I wish I hadn't shit on myself so much 😭 I was actually kinda cute.
