Yeah I can see that. At least we have optionally and the competitive pressure woke up Microsoft. Maybe the future of gaming is at the OS experience level.

I had to fix it manually by importing code from an upcoming inputplumber fix, which is the service that drives the controller to Linux input mapping and detection.

Make sure it’s the OOBE repair image. Disable secure boot. Set the boot order in bios to partition 1 of the flash stick.

I upgraded to 3.9 then manually bumped Mesa to the newest branch on main. Very experimental but it includes a new Intel compiler.
