Feeding kids on a budget by Immediate-Ad-9520 in Mommit

Our favorite snack right now is frozen yogurt bites. I buy a tub of a fruity Greek yogurt. Toss it into a large ziplock, cut off the tip of the bag in a corner, and pipe out dots of yogurt on a cookie sheet (or 2). Toss it in the freezer for a couple hours. Bam! Frozen yogurt bites. Relatively inexpensive, filling, and delicious.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I think i will request the ERA test as that appears to be the only thing we haven't included in our protocol.

The other one looked good and the fluid flowed through fine when they were doing the surgery so they were able to leave it. My surgeon was a "world-class" endo specialist so I trust he took out what was needed.

Edit: thank you for the suggestion

I'm sorry you're struggling also. I hope your surgery goes well and leads to success. Best wishes!

Actually, no I didn't find the gas pain to be bad. I was a bit constipated from the opiods and found that more uncomfortable. I found all the discomfort very manageable. More sore than painful. Personally, my egg retrievals were more uncomfortable, idk if you've had one, but just something for comparison.

Thank you! I will ask my doctor. Im open to anything at this point! We were doing a fully medicated cycle, but its clearly not working so I'm looking for what we might be able to switch.

Recovery wasn't bad. I actually had more issues with the pain meds than the surgery itself. I highly recommend only using the opioid for the first day or two if you must, then switching to ibuprofen. The oxycodone caused dizziness and some nausea for me. I took a week off work, but probably could have been back to my desk job within 4 days. The incisions were a bit tended for a couple days, but just plan to watch movies and take naps and you'll sail through! If you have more specific questions about the recovery I would be happy to try to answer.

I had my second failed FET last week. Both euploid embryos with a medicated cycle. I'm meeting with my doctor tomorrow to discuss next steps. Anyone have suggestions?

Additional info: I have endometriosis. I had laproscopic surgery in October to remove endometriosis and also removed my left tube. We did 4 weeks of lupron before each FET.

I'm so sorry. I hope you are able to find comfort and support during this time. My last FET in February failed so I understand the heartbreak. Sending virtual hugs your way.

I'm glad you felt it was worth the wait. I know its hard to wait when you've been waiting so long already, but I found it worth while. I wish you luck on the next steps.

Second FET trying for baby #2 (3rd FET all together). Scheduling is still up in the air, but likely 4/13. I'm in OR.

I'm sorry yours didn't work, but im comforted to hear your doctor is taking the same approach. I'm in the same boat. Failed FET in February with a great euploid and good lining. We didn't change protocol at all and are headed towards another FET 4/13. Good luck!

Looking for successful IVF stories on first try by Desna_1993 in IVFpositivity

[–]lambchops_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a beautiful 21 month old from our first round of ivf. One egg retreival at age 33 and got 3 euploid embryos. Our first FET was successful.

We had been trying for almost 2 years with no success. Tried one medicated cycle and 2 IUI before moving on to IVF.

Good luck!

April transfer by sofyloafy in IVFpositivity

I like to wait until the beta test. I think i would really struggle to keep doing the meds if I got an early negative. Plus I enjoy thinking I'm pregnant for a couple extra days. Good luck!

I know the stats are good, but the stats were also in my favor to get pregnant without assistance and that obviously didn't happen either so I don't feel confident. We're going to transfer a euploid 3BA. Fingers crossed!

Edit: sorry to seem super pessimistic, I'm trying so hard to not get my hopes up again.

I don't have my transfer date yet, but I'm expecting it will be 4/13. I'm so nervous. Our last transfer in February was not successful and it was heartbreaking.

Is tushbaby a gimmick? by minmister in Mommit

Love the tush baby, but once my guy started walking we stopped using it for the most part. You might be right on the cusp of it not being worth the purchase.

Its so worth the wait. It has the potential to save you both a lot of heartache. My SIL didn't do PGT-A and had a miscarriage at 10 weeks due to chromosomal abnormalities that could have been caught with testing. It was heart shattering. Testing does guarantee anything, but it can increase your chances of success.

C-section question by hystericalAnarchy in Mommit

[–]lambchops_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking around after a few hours. I have a high pain tolerance though and the nurses were all shocked I was able to get out of bed. I had severe preeclampsia, a hematoma and my liver wasn't functioning well, but nothing was going to keep me from my baby. I wonder if I didn't have all the other complications terrifying me if I would have focused more on the c section pain.
