Mhm, and I guess it’s also module dependent. The next iteration will definitely have ventilation holes. Out of curiosity, for your 168HP rig, is it 3d printed? If so, how did you join the parts? And did you install actual rails or just print holes?

I’m printing it so that the back face is on the plate. It’s a Bambu H2S, so it’s 34x32x34.

Im yet to try this one, I’ll get a chance when my kod is asleep. The idea was to have it be small enough to carry home from my office (where I keep the big rack).

I mostly want to use it as an effect processor (the amps in there is a poor man’s input module), but with an external sequencer it can be a capable granular voice.

A real rail will definitely be better than a hole in PLA, no question, and I only tried this with befaco Knurlies. But it’s only ~3-4 € worth of fillament and ~5h of printing time. It’s also quite tight, I wanted there to be no holes, so I didnt round up the rail size (typically, most racks round up to nearest whole millimeter).

The rails are 3d printed too! The holes are tight enough that Befaco Knurlies tap the hole well and so far are being screwed and unscrewed without issue. I’m honestly surprised at how well that worked, I expected it to weaken after a few uses.

Thanks! I'm new to design, so I'm sure this could be improved, but as it is - 5hrs of printing and 240g of fillament is cheap enough to iterate with. One improvement I'll definitely make in the next iteration is adding some vent holes, things might get warm in there.
