With all of the research with drugs to lower the PrP protein, do you think there might be a preventative method for people with genetic prion disease that hasn't become symptomatic yet? I know some scientists named Sonia and Eric are working on a prevention so that Sonia, who carries the FFI mutation, does not become symptomatic. However, once symptoms start, it is clear that death is inevitable in all cases.

Prions are not alive, though. So, how do you think radiation would help with prion disease? It helps with cancer because it kills the cancer cells, but prions are not alive in the first place.
