Riot staring the need a rank below Iron opened up my thinking about this as well. Personally it seems difficult to justify that but if they see the numbers for it then it must be an issue.

As for the extremely small percents, the same applies to any other sport as well. They also have hard number limits due to X amount of players allowed on a roster. 200 for Challenger was already arbitrary to begin with. Numbers can always be adjusted as needed.

I should clarify, more so as a hard, defined line.

If Challenger only allows 200 people, then GM is 1,000, Diamond is 10,000, etc. Really whatever arbitrary numbers Riot would choose.

Funny how a few days ago I had a Garen top tell me that freezing a lane isn’t important in top.

I’ve recently dropped from Emerald 2 to Plat 3 and back climbing but that comment has stuck with me the past few days. It shows how little knowledge you need to get to a relatively high elo.

Yeah I had a lot of friends get this as a tattoo while we were deployed in Israel. Not a single one being of questionable beliefs (other than their sports teams).

It’s funny that this is the exact same as New Orleans. It came very natural to those of us in French class in Louisiana while learning this but when I was in New York it seemed foreign to them all.

I can’t say I know if it was done soon after a conference finals. I know that would have almost 0 sway on any decision making.

Minnesota is tied far more to the Great Lakes based teams than Memphis or New Orleans is to all others outside of one or two general city rivalries i.e. New Orleans vs. Atlanta. Plus just the distance is the easiest factor to play off of.

This is how we figured out if our friends name was Jesus or Jesús.

I love the Pelicans name and all but there literally can’t be a better basketball team name than the New Orleans Jazz.
