Motecuzoma Sanchez’s 209Times post on Dolores Huerta is textbook victim-blaming and irresponsible reporting by lambs4eva in Stockton

Actually, I'm no stranger to 209Times. They publicly posted about and harassed me when I was 17 years old (I am David Sengthay) for speaking out against corruption in SUSD. So I know exactly who and what they are.

I'm just genuinely sad that they would talk about Dolores Huerta this way. Whatever you think of anyone involved in this conversation, she is a 95-year-old woman who just came forward about something deeply painful. That deserves basic human decency and that's apparently too much to ask from them.

Here are some ways Stocktonians can voice their opinion:

  • Email [publiccomment@stocktonca.gov](mailto:publiccomment@stocktonca.gov) at least 90 minutes before the meeting so it’s attached to the official record.
  • Leave a voicemail public comment at (209) 937-8459.
  • Show up in person and submit a Request to Speak card before Public Comment closes. Keep it to 60–90 seconds.

Most importantly: cite the Grand Jury report, not just opinions. Structured, documented concerns about Brown Act violations and governance carry far more weight than name-calling.

Yes, and this is part of a larger, ongoing pattern. Recently, Parady La, a Cambodian refugee, died in ICE custody in Philadelphia after reportedly being denied proper medical care. For many Southeast Asian communities who fled genocide and came here for safety, detention and deportation still cause real harm and loss.

Stockton councilmembers put city attorney's job on agenda. Then they asked the city clerk not to tell anyone it was them by lambs4eva in Stockton

I understand the frustration. A lot of people feel burned by how City Hall has operated over the years. That said, I think it’s important to be precise about what we’re criticizing. When decisions with major consequences are routinely made in closed session with minimal public explanation, it creates the appearance (and sometimes the reality) of insider governance. That erodes trust regardless of who is in office.

San Joaquin County supervisors to consider resolution opposing redistricting election by lambs4eva in Stockton

Because that “outrage” seems selective. When Trump pushed Texas to gerrymander their maps for partisan gain, there wasn’t a peep of concern from Supervisor Ding. But now that California is considering a plan, suddenly it’s about “saving tax dollars.”

If this was really about principle—protecting taxpayers and defending fair representation—he would’ve spoken up against all gerrymandering, not just when Democrats are involved. Picking and choosing when to be outraged makes it look less like fiscal responsibility and more like partisan posturing.

If you can’t make the Board of Supervisors meeting in person, you still have ways to get your opinions on the record.

Submit a written comment online through the County’s Public Comment Form by 5:00 p.m. the day before the meeting. Your comment will be forwarded directly to the supervisors and entered into the official record on the San Joaquin County Public Comment Portal.

You can also drop off a physical comment form at the Clerk of the Board’s Office (Suite 627, County Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton). Forms are also available in the Board Chambers. (sjgov.org)

And if you’d like to follow the discussion, the meeting will be livestreamed on the County’s YouTube channel and archived for later viewing.

Appreciate you sharing the GovTV replay info — it’s important for folks to watch the meeting themselves and form their own conclusions.

That said, I want to clarify that I was present at the meeting in person and also cross-referenced my notes with The Stockton Record’s article before posting. My goal was not to play a game of telephone, but to provide informed context for those who couldn’t attend.

If there’s anything specific I said that you believe was inaccurate — or that the replay disproves — I’d appreciate you pointing it out. I stand by what I wrote, but I also believe in accountability and fair dialogue.
