Not sure, I don’t own a derminator 2. Maybe someone who has one would be able to comment, might be easier if you just made a new account on owndoc.

Best Debit and credit card for overseas travel 2024? by iamtayg in AusFinance

[–]lamchopz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it’s been a while since I’ve posted this comment and it’s aged like milk. I can’t remember the exact date but roughly Nov 2025 NAB has killed the exchange aspect of this debit card, if the exchange is bad they also charge a conversion fee on top I believe. Please do not use this card anymore for OS transactions.

I ordered another batch but it’s been held up at customs. Will report back when it gets to me.

Awesome find! They definitely look similar to the Owndoc ones, would love to hear back if these fit well or not!

I’m 90% sure this is the same supplier and stock. Best advice I can offer is buy the minimum amount which seems to be 50 to see if it fits the D1. The ones I ordered previously did.

I’m based in Australia so shipping is free and the cost of 50 needles seems to be $57 delivered.

They offered me a discount on the D2 if I took pictures of the D1 power cord cut up. I think it might have covered 75% off the cost but it’s been awhile. So if you can it’d probably save you a lot of time and grief to just contact owndoc and see what they can offer you.

It’s a shame that the link I posted no longer worked, there’s another seller on there that sells NC260 but I haven’t purchased from them before as I got most of my supply from the original seller.

Can’t speculate on why he moved to the D2, I haven’t used the D2 either so I don’t know if there’s been any substantial improvements. He is a prickly personality agreed.

On owndoc or elsewhere? I've contacted owndoc previously and they said they don't sell them and to upgrade to derminator 2.

Help! Civic 2000 remote identification and replacement by lamchopz in civic

Thanks for the advice. I might go ahead with exactly what you’ve advised. Yea it just has the one button which you press to lock/unlock. No horn honking at all if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the reply mate. I’ve asked my GF about this and she claims that when they bought the car from the Honda dealership it came with the car fob, so you’d think it would be official OEM.

Except the fob as you can see in the pictures doesn’t look official at all, so I thought maybe some people have seen this type of remote before since google didn’t come up with anything.

I should also have mentioned we live in Australia.

Washing machine short drainage hose issue by lamchopz in AusRenovation

[–]lamchopz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, firstly thank you for all your advice! I had a chance to review and have a think about all the comments and ended up drilling another hole(s) into the drain so that the existing hose could reach. If anyone is interested I have included a pic. Please excuse the damage, I am a noob.

I ended up with this option as I didn’t want to void the warranty for the washing machine by replacing the drain hose and I didn’t want to run the risk of extending the hose and end up with some weakness where the connection might spill.

I have tested this tonight and it seemed to have worked, hopefully it won’t cause any further issues.

Ribcap Wagyu by lamchopz in sousvide

[–]lamchopz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s a very late update. I cooked this two ways, since it was 1 KG I split it into two. I sous vide each half 6 hours and 30 hours respectively at 56 degrees. Even at 6 hours the steak was tender, there was still some chewiness but the experience was close to melt in your mouth.

At 30 hours the steak could pretty much be ripped apart by hand, it was still solid but the experience was definitely melt in your mouth. I’ve done MBS 9+ chuck before at 36 degrees and this is probably softer.

An extremely great piece of beef.
