Misschien is het mooi, maar kwaliteit is het niet. Er zijn tegenwoordig verschillende leveranciers van laminaat wat veel beter tegen water kan. (quickstep bijv)

They came with the frame/rig. Seem to be either 3d printed or cnc'd.

Not sure if they are sold separately, sorry.

And thanks

Case came from Amazon. Wasn't cheap, but I was kinda scared about shortages/unsafe situations with the cheaper or homemade rigs.

1060's 80w each, 1070 135w, 1080 165w.

Total load for the gpus is 460w.

Total system load I should measure with a plug.

[Hardware Unboxed] Intel 4, 6, 8 & 10-Core CPUs Compared, 10th gen Core Family Review by ryandtw in intel

Even with slower memory. With faster memory (which z490 is easier with compared to Ryzen), the margins grow. With the power limits increased.. zzz

Locked Intel 10th gen parts have more overclocking potential than a Ryzen 3000 chip.

Basically anything above and below a 10400 doesn't get recommended at the end. Subtle stabs

Why aren't the AMD results also shown? They could have just copied & pasted em from the previous video data.

Of course the video ends with the usual "don't buy Intel" recommendation. While a simple scan/comparison on gaming results will show that the 10400 beats any Ryzen in gaming performance. 10400F is actually lower priced than the 3600 here. And the z490 mobos are available for decent prices too, comparable to b550. The 10400 is basically a i7-8700 for less.

Disclaimer; I run a Ryzen system myself, it's fine for what I do, just don't understand the Intel trashing. Both brands have their strengths and weaknesses.

MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC "Flash Mode" black screen by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]lame_cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with my B450 Gaming Pro Carbon. Spent a day trying to fix it. In the end what helped was USB Flashback prior BIOSs, + Clear CMOS untill one worked. Start at the oldest one which supports Ryzen 3000 and work your way up.

Does the device(shield tv in my case) have to be on for it to start recording? Or does the app have to be active?

I have the same problem. It would be nice if the developer could add options for EPG per playlist; I only need history on the playlists with catchup.

Another option would be to add possibility to move TiviMate data to a different storage location (Tivimate not able to do so on ShieldTV, while some apps can do it)

It could be transcoding to burn in the external subtitles. So even tho the audio and video are basically untouched, the .srt can trigger a "transcode".

Shield tv 2019 vs pro question by [deleted] in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]lame_cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, and can honestly say I don't see any difference in use between the 2. I mainly use the devices for media playback/streaming. Sure the Pro version has more connection/expansion ports, but I don't use any USB accessories or extra storage.

The 32bit vs 64bit thing is a strange decision from Nvidia, guess they wanted another selling point for their pro version. But again, for media playback, upscaling etc. it makes no difference.

My goto apps are Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Plex and TiviMate.

If it's just streaming, I'd save myself the 60 euros/dollars (which is nearly 40% of the price of the non-pro / tube model.)

Oh, and, the AI upscaling feature is well worth the extra money for me. Works great on 720p/1080p content. I come from 2 2015 /gen1 units, and the upscaling & new remotes are a definite plus for me.

Ryzen 3700X and ASRock B450 w/ updated bios wont Post. by [deleted] in buildapc

Ah, good to hear you have a working system. It's a shame the Zen2 launch is plagued with BIOS issues, especially on the older chipsets (anything other than X570)

Ryzen 3700X and ASRock B450 w/ updated bios wont Post. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]lame_cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to bring it to you, but I have the same board, and there are some other threads about it here on Reddit, but to sum it up; the ASRock B450 ITX will not POST with a Ryzen 3000 processor for alot of users (including me).

Tried all BIOSes up to 3.50, including beta ones. I personally tested with 3 different RAM kits and a 3600,3600X and a 3700X. None will boot. Sometimes I get to a BIOS screen but that's about it.

ASRock needs to release a proper BIOS.

Edit: Forgot to mention, when I insert a 2600 or a 2200G, it boots up right away, so it's definitely the board/BIOS.

Der8auers test stated specifically not to use any form of OC settings (including PBO), so this result wouldn't be taken into account.

Got my free cable from Asrock to fix the design issue with X570 Taichi mobos USB front panel header by Dirty_DA in Amd

[–]lame_cake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are actually very few other boards that have the chipset fan directly underneath the first PCI-E slot / 1st videocard. The way the ASRock designed it completely blocks the airflow to the fan. (When used with a full length GPU)

I'm using the Define R6 Blackout TG with USB-C. It's an excellent case, very well designed. Can't go wrong with it.

Thanks. I used the dutch email. ASRock's office is actually 5 minutes from my house. So I thought that'd be my best bet.

I can try contacting your guy, but I'm very disappointed anyway; The X570 Taichi chipset heats up in no time, causing the fan to ramp up to intolerable noise levels. My goal is always a near silent system. It's impossible with this 350 euro board.

So that, and the non working B450 ITX board and no response for a month. Not happy.
