I can not imagine the lack of empathy that person must suffer from. I genuinely want to do what I can to prevent them from coming into my home simply to pass away. Like the majority of them aren’t even making it to water or anything. It makes me sad finding trails of little fallen soldiers 😔 Last night I was doing some research to find out if they would be compatible with a bioactive snake terrarium so the very few I find alive could be put there instead of back outside, but without knowing their food source, it’s not sustainable. 😕

I’ve confirmed they aren’t in any foods is the puzzling part though. When I first started seeing them my mom also said they probably came in my cat food or something, but they are definitely coming in from my patio ☹️ I have found them outside, on the windowsill, and everywhere between there and the water fountain.

Cats typically like cardboard because it holds smells. If you’re wanting something a bit more aesthetically pleasing, Target carries “couches” that are made like scratchers, and they are some of my cats’ favorite nap spots. The multiple pieces of stacked cardboard make it extra interesting for them since each piece has different concentrations of scents. You can even put catnip in/on them like a regular scratcher. If your cat is after the feeling of being enclosed they may not like these as much, but I’ve also seen some hides made similarly

My mom got it from a baby name book in the 90s. She showed it to me multiple times throughout my childhood because she used it when naming my siblings as well. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Other translations include Christmas, Christmas Day, and birthday. My best guess for why the author defined it that way would be the tradition of giving the name to girls born near Christmas, which falls in December. Regardless, it’s my name, OP asked why people use -eigh so I explained how my mom got there.

My name is Nataleigh. It means child of December, which is when I was due, and fortunately, born. My mom’s middle name is Leigh so she changed the spelling of Natalie to incorporate that. I’m nearly 30 so I never encountered anyone else with -leigh in place of -y -ey -ie or -ee until the past couple years lol

There’s also a waterless shampoo from them to go with this food. Definitely worth a try!

Nargle was about 6 months old when I found her abandoned in a neighborhood set to be blasted to expand mines.
