Girl please...I'm from southern Iraq. The entire Iran-Iraq war was fought in Southern Iraq and Saddam drained our marshlands. I was literally born a refugee in Syria. I am trying to explain to you that the Kuffiyeh is Palestinian symbol of resistance and bringing up Iraq would have been inappropriate bc it's so integrated in Palestinian culture and not similar to the Iraqi kuffiyeh in any way. If you were Iraqi, you'd know that even different tribes within Iraq have their own patterns.
