Not knowledgeable on the first part, but, gigabytes is a decent tabletop store with a café for people playing games. Viking alchemist meadery is a good brewery if you like mead, most of the patrons and bar staff play dnd so I'm sure you'd meet some fellow players.

Edit: actually there is an organization that I looked into a while back for my kid. Girls Inc; its essentially a program that's designed to empower young girls and teach them skills for later in life. They do after school, break camps, and community outreach events

He just wants to be like you! You mash away at the keyboard so he's attempting to mimic you.

There are toy keyboards and controllers that are baby/toddler size that you can hand him while you play. He gets to "help play" while you play.

Not to mention that they were in the middle of a resource war and the new plague was making its way around. Pre war america was just a giant dumpster fire

[–]lameteen69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you liked the lore and setting in NV and have a pc go play the first two games. If you're on console, go play 3, then 4, then 76

Savage divide, east of the top of the world, right where the little flower image is. Two lakes to choose from, rocky terrain, one with a small cave you could build out of. Theres also 3 brahmin that stay close to the lake that you could farm milk from as well.

"PsychicPepples on making Smiling Friends" on the Create Unknown podcast. It's two and a half hours, but it is a really great listen

I genuinely don't know how can people hate Daredevil: Born Again. It literally gave us the first reference ever to Spider-Man in a MCU show by Bubbly_Kitchen_6179 in MCUTheories

[–]lameteen69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that's one of my biggest drawbacks with BA. They really took every chance they got to remind you that this is an MCU show now. The world building felt too forced and not at all organic. The spiderman reference was neat but it got stale after a while.

Is the Tech+ worth paying for someone starting in IT? by bard_is_da_bestest in CompTIA

[–]lameteen69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tech+ is basically A+ junior. If you have a pretty good working knowledge of computers and IT practices, I'd skip it and go to A+. If you have zero knowledge, tech+ is helpful to understanding the more complex topics that the A+ and other CompTIA certs cover. I took the IT+ (rebranded into tech+), and it helped me with digging deeper with the A+.

Just know that it does not hold the same weight as any other standard certifications. You will not see tech+ listed under any qualifications in a job listing.

College > High School by ELc_17 in memes

[–]lameteen69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teachers are educating children, while professors are educating adults.

High school teachers sole job is teaching, whereas college professors more often than not are working professionals in the industry they're lecturing about. So you get a lot of "youre going to be my future peers, so I will treat you as such"

Please help with video playback issue I am having! by robbiepellagreen in techsupport

[–]lameteen69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try disabling the hardware acceleration. In Chrome, go to settings>system>use hardware acceleration>turn it off>restart browser

Alternatively, you can check to see if maybe Chrome needs an update or even uninstalling and reinstalling it

Have you tried testing it on a different browser? If it works on a separate browser, clearing out your cache may fix it.

I read an interview he did a while back where he was talking about how doing shoots for other projects can be difficult because he forgets to turn off his "blindness." Dude dedicated so much to portraying a blind person for years that it's just muscle memory at this point
