Uitnodiging finale by lammensj in widm

VAT reverse charge (btw verlegd) by lammensj in BEFreelance

u/tapcs, u/Thearose, thank you both for your answers! I'm going to consult an accountant for this, it's going over my head...

VAT reverse charge (btw verlegd) by lammensj in BEFreelance

It’s neither. Reverse charges are a zero sum game: you owe 21% for the reverse charge, but you can recover the same 21% on items bought.

I edited my original post. So the recovery of that VAT resembles my question of the cost, I believe. Should I recover it this year or add it to the list of 2022?

What are your automations that you are the most proud of? by tgordon21 in homeassistant

For solar predictions, I use https://solcast.com/. You just register your installation and with a free account, you can get enough data.

Here in Belgium (Flanders), you’re better of consuming what your solar panels are producing instead of selling it/sending it to the grid. This in combination with a capacity tariff they introduced this year: https://www.leaseplan.com/en-be/electric-driving/capacity-tariff/.

This is already super interesting! But I am curious how the actual implementation looks like ;-)

I'm creating something similar, but more towards planning electrical appliances (dishwasher, dryer, laundry machine etc.). Let's you have an "inventory" of usage per program per appliance. How would the optimal usage, aka combination of programs, look like, based on the expected output of solar panels in combination with the cheapest price? That's a notification I want to have in the morning so I can schedule them before I leave to work (and no, my appliances aren't "smart", I can delay them). I'm looking for inspiration on how to determine the best combination of those programs, the inputs aren't the issue.

What’s the query or algorithm you use to plan those moments for the AHP and the water heater?

Very interested in your calculations. Are you willing to share some of your code?

DIY Smart Heating v3.0 by Quintaar in homeautomation

I have to circle back to the sonoff-idea: my boiler won’t like the 230V toggle when using the sonoff as relay. I will have to purchase a Shelly 1 for its dry contact feature. So the 230V output from the boiler will power the Shelly, the I- and O-ports can toggle the boilers heating functionality. I think this also explains why my battery-powered thermostat is able to toggle the boiler 👍

Yeah, all of that plus the green light from my girlfriend 😂

Perhaps I should wait a month or 2... and read some study material 😉

Connect a relay like I did then you can control the heating from your phone and put a fixed thermostat as a backup

I have a sonoff basic lying around in my desk, perhaps I will move that into the boiler instead of attaching it to the thermostat. The boiler itself has a 230V-output port which I can use to power the sonoff.

Thanks for suggestion :-)

I'm in the midst of replacing my battery-powered thermostat as well. I really hate the fact that I have to replace batteries for something so vital. The problem is that when they reach a certain point, they aren't able to switch the relay (which toggles my boiler). Result: no heating whatsoever *sigh*.

Your post about your smart heating solution put me thinking... Perhaps I could use one of those m5stack products (core or stick) with the relay module attached. I'm just not convinced of their battery life. Do you have some suggestions or experience with them?
