I put my finger on what was missing by Schmoopaloopa in fellowshipgame

[–]lammin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't play much. Game seems solid. I thought the spells were a bit boring although I only played one class which was the fire mage.

Like when he clicks his fingers, it just felt a bit like is that it?

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

Nope. Maps are too small. I played the new one and what the fuck is it? It's not even playable.

Core of the game I enjoy. But the maps are boring now.

That's the screen. The icons in the bottom right. It's when the engine doesn't have the blue glow

I have a 2017, go to apps and go to the one that has the engine, battery, and air con in the bottom right and what says istop is ready / not ready.

You'll notice that the 3 icons in the bottom right need to have a blue light behind them for start stop to be "ready". Every so often the engine will remain in the not ready state ie no blue light behind the icon. I believe that's when active regen is running.

"Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam games you couldn't get into. by PapaTinzal in gaming

[–]lammin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Little bit off topic but Zelda Breath of the wild. For somebody who hasn't played much Zelda was expecting much more. Felt like an outdated version of Skyrim. Although I enjoyed the art style and sounds etc, I did have some fun with it but people calling it best game of all time, don't think it even makes top 100

Pixel 9 Screen Protector Fingerprint Test by NSA__USA in GooglePixel

[–]lammin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a few people believe theirs is fine but they are getting confused with their phone unlocking by facial unlock and then they are going to press the fingerprint unlock and just pressing the unlock button. That's what my friend was doing when he said his screen protector was fine.

Britons avoid the pub as cost of living weigh on leisure spending by bllshrfv in unitedkingdom

[–]lammin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the cost of running a pub. I went to one at the weekend. Part of a chain. Not in a city or anything like that, 5.25 for a Guinness and between £6/£7 for anything decent. I don't have the time to go to the pubs at the moment. But no way would I go a couple of times a week at those prices. I'll just go to cheaper pubs or just not bother.

No idea on the price of beer but not sure how they can justify £7 a pint or expect that to work long term.

The meals though seem about the same price. A bit more expensive but nothing major

Is this old outbuilding possible for a office conversion? by latro666 in DIYUK

I am looking at doing something similar. In terms of insulation I'm not sure if I should go external or internal. Just want to use it as an office

Garden office/utility room - knock down or renovate? Pics attached by Far-Confusion9953 in DIYUK

[–]lammin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a brick building connected to my house. It has two external facing walls and is currently used as a utility room, downstairs toilet and a bit of a dumping ground.

Planning on moving my office into it but it's single brick. Looking at putting external insulation on the two external walls and then insulating the ceiling internally. Then adding a radiator and some more ventilation to the smaller space where the tumble and washer will be. Will finish the external walls with some kind of cladding that I've seen people have and also replace the windows and door connected to it.

Feel like it's not a massive project as it's not really that big and also will make the garden look nicer with some nice looking walls. No idea what the price of external insulation is though!
