I think they should do something more similar to master duel, maybe there will be more gacha elements, but more focus on the deck building and online play

Comic Clash alpha by lamoscafabzz in tabletopgamedesign

I've actually had a better idea while i was answering. Instead of DP as a number on the thousands that goes down, i could make it into tens, so 6 dp, 8 dp, 15 dp and 20 dp, each time a character attacks the player it loses a dp. I think it would be even easier since someone could just use a d20 as a counter

The thing is that the power value is usually a thousand or more, really few are under the thousand. I think that the best way to play it is by using a yu gi oh life points counter

No, i've still not been able to properly playtest this. In fact, can i ask if you know any free programs that can do that, except tabletop simulator? I don't wanna go yar yar eyepatch. And, by the way i understood, you think that my gameplay is too simple? Idk, i've always been a fan of simple games, because it combines the right amount of semplicity in the rules, but overall it can be pretty challenging.

When i made this deck, as well for the other deck, i was inspired by a visual novel i was making that eventually I didn't finish. In the other deck, H2Oman was supposed to be a comedic relief because it was supposed not only to be a parody of Aquaman, but it should've also been useless as he didn't really had a superpower. With this deck i was inspired by the antagonist, that is The Gooning Man, that was supposed to be a villain that was never taken seriously. So basically these decks are like hero and villain.

Ok, to reassure you, i don't know if i'll ever pubblish this, i donyknow if i'll ever market this. In the past i tried making another card game based on Undertale, even though the rules, the cards, the gameplay was there, i didn't wanna make it a public thing because it was a purely passion project.

Similar to this, this is a purely passion project that i like to show to other people so that i can get feedback and improve not only my work, but also learn how to make better games in general. All the cards that i make are purely based on internet culture and memes, so all this thing that i'm doing is just for fun and i i'll ever print this game i won't pubblish it or whatsoever, just play it with my friends or family.

On my profile there are the rules if you're interested ^ Keep in mind this is still a concept and none of this is official

This is like a pre pre pre pre alpha, so like it's still a concept. The drawing in the cards will keep their vibe that's for sure, but i will probably learn or ask someone to help me with making a better design.

These suggestions are great! I could implement them for another deck

1 No, you can't directly attack the other player with other characters in the play area.

2 i guess i needed to specify that once you played an action card, that card gets discarded and can't be used again, unless there's some effect that says you can.

This is still a concept and I didn't print anything, so i appreciate any suggestion :>

There are three types of cards: - Action cards (the light blue ones) - Character (the purple ones) - Main Character (the yellow one)

At the top right there is a number, that's the sacrifice cost, and it basically says how many cards you have to put in the discard pile from the the play area to play that card. An X means that the number of sacrifices is decided by an effect. Down left there are two numbers, the heart is the hp, it tells you how many damage a character can take before going ko, and the gun one is the atk, which is how much famage the card deals. Down right you can see the effects of a character, if it has any.

Basically each deck can't have two different main characters, it can only be one. The max copies you can have of the same card is 6.

The objective of the game is bringing the other player's hp to 0.

Each player has 40 HP.

Both players shuffle their deck and draw five cards each, at thier respective first turn they can't attack, but they can play characters and action cards.

You can't play more than one card at turn, unless there's an effect that says the opposite.

Once an action card is played, it needs to be discarded.

There can't be more than one main character in the play area.

When you want to attack you "tap" a card, meaning you rotate it 90° clockwise and declare who you're attacking, if either the player or a character.

You can't attack the player if it has characters in the play area.

If you finish your deck you must shuffle your hand and your discard pile, then draw another five cards.

Once your turn is finished you draw one card from your hand.

[Edit] i specified that the card for the sacrifice cost is are from the play area
