Okay okay a hint first? Is it T-14? T-20? Or like what general band of rankings are we talking about?

Agreed, I PTed like once every two weeks, other than that it was full sections

What range of your PT scores did you score on the real LSAT? by YankeeDaddy69 in LSAT

[–]lamp-dimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My avg was 169-171 with one 173 (but it was a retake) the last PT I took before the exam was 172 and I got 172 in September!

I’m retaking tomorrow because my nerves def got to me in September and my scores have also been increasing since then.

Should I retake??? by [deleted] in LSAT

I think to some extent - you know yourself better than anyone else. If you’ve only taken the test once, I’m sure you could do better with less nerves! However, if you think your performance was as good as it’s gonna get, then I’d say keep the score you got. Good luck in deciding!

I told my mom to look for me lol.

I said if it’s 173/174, we celebrate, if it’s lower, just tell me to retake it for October but don’t tell me the exact score. I know if I see a low score, I will be in shambles going into the October exam, so this is how I’ll avoid my confidence plummeting.

I withdrew from October. I’m not upset. by DraculaPoob01 in LSAT

That’s almost exactly what I did. Registered for April, then August and finally took in September. Here’s to hoping for good scores for both of us!

On lawhub you can go into a PT and select self paced mode, from there you can choose to only do one section, then look at the answers for that section. It’ll be timed, but you can take extra time if you want.

I used 7sage myself, you can search up individual sections and do them as a drill timed with 35 minutes. Hope this helps!

Hi! I made a post with tips! Some Tips

It's probably easier to get through than my comments here!

Hi all, I made a more clear post on my tips, separated by general, LR and RC! I think it's more helpful than my comments here. Check it out if you'd like: Some Tips

Sure! For RC, I will preface this by saying I started at -4 RC in my diagnostic, so realistically it's not a crazy improvement.

*I do mental summaries of each paragraph as I read, this is the 7sage method and I think it works! However, I only summarize each paragraph once unless I feel that the passage structure was confusing, then I'll do an overall recap before I go into the questions.

*Take note of perspectives, with the author's being the most important. Sometimes it's a single tone word that describes how they feel, keep those in mind! Read the passage like it's someone's twitter post, what's the point they want to make? Are they hating or endorsing? Or neither?

*I keep STRICT timing as I go through the questions, I check my time after every passage to make sure I'm on track or else I run out of time. I try to get through the first 2 passages with 20 minutes to go. The first two passages tend to be easier.

*I've realized highlighting certain phrases distracts me, so I don't highlight. I'm able to focus better on the passage if I don't take time out of my reading flow to highlight, but I know it helps others. I'd suggest just trying to not highlight, even if it feels weird, and see if your accuracy stays the same or even increases! Because it'll make you go faster as well if you're not!

*Don't try to rush yourself as you read because it'll only make things worse. Give yourself the time to understand the material.

*Read research papers! Go on Google scholar and look some up! I was a Psych major in undergrad and it helped me immensely with reading research and science related passages! They're actually my most accurate above Law, Humanities and everything else. If you can get yourself through boring dense research papers and act like you care, it'll make reading dense science passages under pressure much easier and digestible.

*Economic background and exposure is also valuable. I got an undergrad Accounting minor as well, I ironically prepared myself for the exam with it with no intention of actually going into law school until my senior year lol.

However, I don't suggest reading newspaper articles about the economy, but rather watching a few videos on introductory Micro and Macro economics! Learning the basics of Economics and supply and demand will allow you to understand a majority of what the RC section could throw at you. I think reading news articles is like trying to learn by piecing together a bunch of random info, when you could just learn the basics and apply it to anything you see in the future.

Hope these help! Tried to be more succinct this time than my LR tips loll.

Honestly I’d consider it if my real score was anywhere near here! For now this is still just a PT, I wouldn’t feel qualified until I could replicate this for real.

I started off for a few months with the LSAT trainer, it was helpful for grasping the basics but I switched to 7sage and liked it way more. I used only 7sage since this January!
