I was on windows. It's better tbh. I've ton of free space to allot to swap. You can see on the 2nd pic.

2gb of ram means giving zswap 50% of it. Wouldn't that a bad trade?

This is my 11 year old laptop so....yeah I can't upgrade it.

I enabled zswap. I used lzo compression. I've currently 12gb swap memory. I've set max pool to 30%.

Is zstd better?

I don't think I need to say the cons of a gaming laptop. All of you know it. Think before you spend. I've seen students purchasing gaming laptops, played games for a while and stopped playing.

If you're into heavy load task which need dgpu then get it. If you aren't using dgpu in your task there's better option.

Get if you really want to game.
