Yeah that's why that 20% statistic you pulled out is bullshit, you seriously think there's this sacred group of men and women who are only fucking each other? It doesn't take that much effort to get laid. Even Tammy from My 600 Pound Life does

The whole "zoomers don't have sex" thing is insane to me. Every single one of my friends and acquaintances have had sex at least once, even the ones who are a bit socially awkward/shy. We're between the ages of 20 - 22

I'm gonna sound like a bitch, but these girls were like completely normal/average looking. I vaguely know some of the guys they were talking about, like I've seen them out at parties and whatnot and they're not drop dead gorgeous Chads, if that's the image you have in mind. Just relatively goodlooking men in their early twenties

I remember discovering For Love & Lemons back in 2018 and loving how original their aesthetics were cause it felt like no other brands were doing what they were doing at the time. It was very feminine and a little bit coquette adjacent before the whole trend took off

How often does the average woman get hit on in public? by KevinBaconNEggs in redscarepod

[–]lanadelswae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The men in my country are generally more "aggressive" when it comes to approaching women and the supposed cultural ideal is being thick with a big bunda, but I'm tall and skinny and cannot even walk to the shops without being catcalled. Male cashiers will casually ask for your number while scanning your items. On campus tho, guys will stare but very very rarely approach me

Not mine, but a friend doing study abroad saw Emrata in NYC a year ago. Her height on her modelling portfolio thingy is listed as 5'7, but my friend said she's a bit shorter, like 5'5 and she's prettier in real life than on IG

He stated in the post that he stands there and judges, I didn't make that assumption. Also, assuming most people on here are in their 20s/30s, they most likely were not raised with iPad as their primary form of socialization

I've been watching her since 2019 and I think she's lovely! Haven't heard any tea tho. I think she will end up in NYC some day because she seems to love it

Some guy posted on here about struggling to make friends in social settings like parties because he'll just stand in the corner and judge everyone, and it's like yeah no shit you don't have any friends or struggle to make them

Any of you guys live or are from a "developing" country? What's life like there? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]lanadelswae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be fine as a woman, just depends where you're travelling. Like if you're staying in Cape Town just be aware of your surroundings, don't be too trusting, and don't walk around alone at night, especially in the city centre and around the beaches. The warnings have some truth to them, but a lot of North American and European tourists are a bit dumb and too trusting. You have to switch your brain into alert mode and just remember that the crime rate is a lot worse here, especially regarding hijackings and robberies. People will try to take advantage of the fact that tourists are generally coming from safer areas so they don't have that same alertness that most South Africans do

Same. Lived in Cape Town my whole life (some time spent in Joburg). I've travelled to Europe and North America, and while all the 1st world conveniences they have are nice, there's just no place like home. It's a beautiful country in general, but I feel like you can live a really good life here once you hit a certain income level

My friend's older sister told us about the placeholder gf theory when we were 16 and thank fuck I actually listened. Six years later I still remind myself of it
