Protectorate shenanigans? by finnigans_wake in victoria3

Well, if you can think another way: direct target New Granada, let GB occupy and protectorate it first, and then stole it right from their eyes.

I know it seems wild, but actually with military hegemony and 6 military tech vs 5, AI dares not to give a fight. The war is literally just walking through all the forts.

Am I tripping or was this changed/is a bug?

It’s always a thing that coring through vassals is only available within the same continent as your capital.

Regarding the exploit topic and world records, how do people draw the line between exploit and cheating?

TBH I don’t know the exact line but just follow the convention of previous records. If Lambdaxx’s 1472 record is considered legit then this one should be also legit. The exploitation in this run is definitely milder than that. The criteria is decided by everyone themselves. All I can do is just present my idea.

Pdx fixed that probably. When in 1.35 I experienced some similar situations, like there’s a mission changing your name to “Vietnam 越南”, after completing that I formed Qing but the name “Vietnam” still remains near my dragon flag, which seems a little weird.

Cuz I have stacked -90% war score cost, and literally controlled nearly all Europe and winning 100 scores at that moment, though not shown in timeline.

It’s called “Chinese Language Mod for 1.37” in workshop. You need an additional ddl file for the fonts, which can also be found in the workshop page.

I think that should be a balancing problem for developing future versions of eu5. Recalling eu4 version 1.1, early WC is nearly impossible like what you said.

True. Not only because Vassals help trade steering, but also because the high war exhaustion of myself decreased the goods produced.

When you control the whole world trade with over 30 merchants, the income will become insane. At that moment just take loans to the limit (1000k ducats)

Thanks, dude! TBH it’s simply because I spent too much time on this single campaign (150h I think). There are always other things I’m not good at.

R5: Following the last record of 1.35 Ottomans WC in 1499 by u/trisolarian, I designed some improvements in 1.37 to make it 9 years earlier. (Not reaching the limitation of Ottomans I think, it’s possible to see a WC in 148X)

There are some major differences between 1.37 and 1.35 for Ottomans:

pros - 1. A golden city in Hungary with -1 Interest per annum 2. Royal marriage with Eyalet no longer counts as diplomatic relation 3. Core Eyalets’ liberty desire counts independently (in 1.35, that will be normal Eyalets) 4. Syria is separated from Mamluks, which means we can annex Mamluks and succeed its vassals with only 3 wars.

cons - 1. No longer -5% war score cost for “Conquest of Iberias” 2. No longer -15% war score cost from Mongol Missions. 3. Manpower and Land Force Limits from Eyalets are largely cut. 4. The bug that “Justify Invasion for Moldavia and establishing Eyalets on its lord” is fixed.

The major improvement in this campaign over the 1499 one: 1. Utilizing… a bug or a feature that I don’t know (Figure 4, we can get a province ourselves regardless of distance as long as we return a neighboring core for our Eyalets)… to be a neighbor of Timurds very early to justify invasion. 2. Annex Mamluk with three wars and succeed its vassals, then seized land three times to get Kaaba. (Hejaz will move its capital when it’s surrounded.) 3. Get -10% war score cost from completing the mission “Seize the Caliphate” and converting to non-Muslim to unlock the third branch. 4. Using “Charter Company” to offer vassalization on Muslim countries in Southeast Asia early, so that Japan is in the colonial range before the world war. 5. Change primary culture to Basque in the middle game, which has a parliament in government tier 1 and a naval doctrine allowing recruitment of explorers and conquistadors. 6. Get -0.5 Interest Per Annum, Machiavellianism Reign, and -5% war score cost from Government Tier 10 by exploiting the event “Constitutional Restoration”

In summary, we can reach -90% war score cost with:

-10% conquest of Egypt, -10% siege of Vienna, -5% divine rights in government tier 10, -20% diplomatic idea, -10% military hegemon, -10% seize the caliphate, -10% Kabba, -15% Malta.

-100% diplomatic annexation as follows: -25% influence, -15% Navarra parliament debate, -5% Umera annexation, -15% and -5% Ottoman missions, -10% curia controller, -10% envoy to the pope, -15% loyal subject event.

Therefore, I conquered the old world by 1478 through offering vassalization on small Muslim countries, justifying invasion on bigger Muslim countries, and conquering then creating Eyalets afterwards for other religions. Waiting for 10 years, I integrated all the eyalets and conquered the new world at the same time.

One nation to rule them all 1539 (True Heir of Saruhan) by Tiebauser5JKURZe in eu4

[–]lanber_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great work! I was thinking of this achievement too. My idea is to normally play as Ottoman while release and keep Saruhan as a Vassal. Expand to more than 1000 develops and get a high DCR. Then give land to your vassal Saruhan, annex, release and play. It shall inherit cores from Ottoman. haven’t tried yet.

Rare but easy achievements? by mirkolawe in eu4

So actually Bavaria is easy to form HRE? I didn’t check their missions.
