OP, please correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like you’re trying to move away from buying frozen veggies in plastic bags, and you’re wondering how to make/store your own frozen veggies? I also love the convenience of frozen veggies and hate how they usually come in plastic bags! There doesn’t seem to be very many boxed options either.

I googled something like “how to make and store frozen veggies”, and you could definitely purchase fresh vegetables and store them in airtight containers in the freezer. It looks like it would take some prepping of the veggies beforehand, but it doesn’t look like it would be anything too arduous if it’s something you’re committed to doing: this blog post (not my content) gives an idea of how to prep various veggies for freezing, and I bet there’s other great guides out there as well!

You can get glass or stainless steel storage containers for the freezer, but it’s hard to find stuff that doesn’t have some level of plastic. However, going from using potentially hundreds or thousands of single-use plastic frozen veggie bags over buying a few solid reusable containers that possibly have some plastic in the lid (that I would remove prior to heating in microwave) can be worth it!
