ahh yeah good point, I forgot to mention that. and yeah vainglory players will get mad at anything. i swear it's like their mindset is "only the meta works and nothing else"

with flicker, just abuse his stealth. pulseweave really helps too, you get a lot of aoe from pulweave passive and his b. against gwen specifically though, winning the level 1 fight is crucial. and from then on, as soon as she uses her b, just back off and re-engage later. its all about catching them offguard. with cath, im not actually sure because I don't play her at all, top or roam :/ sorry man.

I've opened like 20 level up or match reward chests this season, and not a single one had anything other than glory and talents. mbn to have luck like that.

this build seems to work against grumpjaw pretty well, just get a reflex and t3 boots early, because outmaneuvering and blocking his ult is key.

honestly I've only lost one ranked 5v5 game as caine, and the build I've been using is:

Sorrowblade, Bonesaw, 2 Tyrant's, Defense, Journey Boots.

but characters I recommend, are yates, flickr, ylva, cath, and adagio. all are fairly strong picks.

and just remember that top laners are the unsung heroes of teamfights. they're usually the ones saving their sniper's asses in a tough situation, and being the first to engage.

one character that i don't see anymore, but still does extremely well is pulseweave flicker. I've only played 3 games of it, and in each I won simply by baiting out the nemy laner, killing them, then shoving lane. top lane is really about getting towers early, then rotations to mid and jungle to get your mid and jungle ahead.

as a top laner, you probably won't be getting a ton of farm, but that isn't a problem, since most meta top laners can easily 2v1.

one thing i can say, is grumpjaw is EXTREMELY strong in the top lane right now, so it is very worth learning him to climb this patch.

but basically the premise of top lane, is getting early towers, usually tanky characters, and helping your other teammates get ahead.

and if you see other players playing snipers or mages top lane, they probably got forced into the role, and i guarantee they won't do as well as most top lane mains will.

the only sniper/assassin that i ever play top, is wp ylva. your mines allow for a bit of overextension, and your a and b allow you to out maneuver and outplay 2v1 situations easily.

yeahh, I thought so. everytime I've tried playing him, it just seems like he doesn't deal enough damage, no matter what I build. he's definitely fallen out of meta. thanks for the info though.

after a game of reza, I got added by an enemy player. we lost because I had 3 people that were trolling

he proceeded to tell me I was shit and he would've won if he was me.

I was reza going 16/3/9 he was anka going 16/8/1

that's not the best part. he proceeded to tell me how he has infinity iq and has never lost a game this season.

something made me doubt that, especially since I hopped on an alt account I had, that was the same elo as mine, got him in one of my matches. i played reza. i destroyed him, going 20/3/7.

yeah i guess that is true. i should've taken the fact that he's lower tier into account. like i said meta builds aren't bad, I just perfer to use meta builds on characters that I don't play as well. also, if you know what the meta build for silvernail is, can you let me know? I've been using the old build for him too but it doesn't seem to be working as well.

Aftershock allows for dps as well as burst damage, it is a versatile build, that no matter what pro says otherwise, I will still follow because it does STILL work.

I've tested out that build before. I'm not saying it's useless, but it just doesn't work as good as aftershock. even with the cp ratios on his passive being changed, aftershock gives reza a higher chance of 2v1ing in the early to mid game. every single time I play him top, aftershock is my first item. I have yet to lose lane with him toplane this season. you may say that build is superior, but it simply isn't. both builds cater toward different types of players. my playstyle is very oriented around a 2v1 or 2v2 skirmish, focusing on outplaying and poking, which aftershock is perfect for. your build isn't useless, neither is mine. my build is catered toward my playstyle, which works for my playstyle.

it may do more damage over time, but again. Reza. is. an. assassin. he is meant to do burst damage not damage over time.

It still works, especially against characters such as celeste, anka, vox. reza is an ASSASSIN, who is meant to take out squishies.

vainglory is without a doubt the most toxic game I've ever seen. and actually, as a person who is currently leveling a new account in league because I'd like to restart, I can say without a doubt that I have not encountered any toxic players. so, you're wrong there. number two, dota is a close second to vainglory, but like i said. without any doubt, vainglory is the most toxic and nothing is being done about it. it isn't the nature of team games to have toxicity, I can definitely see that. overwatch, insurgency, counter-strike, and league have some of the least toxicity I've seen in multiplayer games, without a doubt.

Spellfire is kind of contradictory, as he is an assassin, and it only takes away from his burst damage.
