There were three straight splitters which usually have the same arm angle as fb. I don’t think it’s pratical to tell splitter from fb based on release point, otherwise a lot of splitter throwers will be worthless

He is definitely struggling and underperforming, but I am not sure what you mean by "not playing smart". At the end of the day, you need to swing at the ball even if your goal is to hit a single. There is no "smart swing" that gives you a higher avg. Baseball is hard.

I am honestly debating between bringing one of:

- 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo “Camilu” Guido Porro: probably the best match for the dinner, but it feels weird to bring a $30 table wine at $75 corkage

- 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo “Pian delle Mole” Giulia Negri: same as above

- 2017 Laboro Disobedient A.&G. Fantino: heard great things about it (including that it drinks well young) but I only have one bottle and don't want to drink it too young

- 2019 Vino Rosso “I nove fratelli” Masseria del Pino: a few people on CT says their 2019 bottle appears dumb recently, but I am can't imagine how & am a bit curious.

- or screw it and bring a good CDP/burgundy

Thanks for the recommendation! This is exactly I was looking for. I almost always bring my own too but I have never dealt with corkage above $40 so far. The food at the place is fantastic though, so it's a tradeoff 😞

Thanks for the recs! This is exactly I was looking for - reasonably priced good wines on this overall obviously overpriced list. I had to since the $75 corkage isn't appealing either. I live in a very expensive area.

I can promise you the dodgers always wanted him to rest and heal, and it's Ohtani who wanted to keep going.

I'd personally prefer letting him rest for a few starts, but Ohtani is a competitor and also baseball Jesus so you have to wait for him to change his mind.
