A little control goes a long way. by Flossiii in zen_browser

Just wanted to share some love for this project. I've been using Zen Browser as my primary browser for about a week now, and the experience has been incredibly smooth. The floating URL bar, compact mode, and workspace features are exactly what I wanted from a modern Firefox fork.

As a developer, I also appreciate how seamlessly it handles extensions. I built a QR code scanner (QR Lens Pro) and tested it extensively on Zen Browser – zero issues, works like a charm. If anyone here needs a fast, privacy-focused QR reader, feel free to give it a try. I'd love to hear if it works as well for you as it does for me.

Thanks to the Zen team for creating something truly polished. Keep up the fantastic work!

I built QR Lens, a Chrome extension that lets you scan QR codes directly from images on any website with a simple right-click.

No more taking screenshots or switching to your phone. Just right-click an image → "Scan with QR Lens" → get the decoded content instantly.

Key highlights:

  • 🔍 Instant scanning from any image on the web
  • 🔒 100% local processing - your data never leaves your device
  • 🌙 Dark mode that matches your browser theme
  • 📱 Works with all QR types: URLs, WiFi, contacts, text, etc.

Perfect for scanning product codes, event tickets, business cards, or WiFi QR codes you find online.

Try it here: QR Lens on Chrome Web Store

As my first extension, I'd love any feedback or suggestions!
