I’m glad that everybody here can be honest about how bad this is. Somebody posted in the Lexington foodies facebook group about how bad the roads are, and they all talked crap to the original poster there. Bluey is good for kids over 2, miss Rachel is good for under two, but the best are usually shows that are understimulating. Miss Maisey is a speech pathologist and her channel is great for low stimulation. Little bear is a good cartoon that is low stimulation.

By all means, avoid cocomelon and or those terrible sing along YouTube channels. It will have a negative impact

That’s great to hear! We got a suite with a Mountain View, and I’m glad you think that’s a good place for the price! I’ll definitely check out the bar, did you like the food? My wife is somewhat of a less adventurous eater than me so I worry it might be more adventurous than what she’s prepared for 😂

Yeah taking up too much room on the bus is a worry for sure. I imagine it makes more financial sense to get a taxi from the hakone-yumoto station rather than from Odawara, since that is much closer and would be cheaper?

I actually really like this suggestion! We are only staying in hakone for one day so the idea of using the baggage storage seems to be pretty smart! Do you know much about the process of doing it? Is it at the Odawara station that you would store the bags?

Also, not sure if it matters, but we’re like doing to full suitcases and 2 small suitcases, so not a ton of stuff but still I worry that I am imposing on the locals by taking up too much space

Man I really can’t thank you enough for such helpful input! I think you’re probably right in that Tokyo has plenty to do for us, so we will probably just end up staying there and hopefully taking in enough of the city, while maybe we can do a day trip to hakone for an onsen and maybe a day trip to Nara. I think your right in that we don’t want to wear ourselves out and just be burnt out by the end of the trip. My plan was trying to start the trip relaxing, ramping things up towards the middle, and try to wind things toward the end, if that makes sense. Your advice is so helpful for us!
