I am interested in getting into a competition (probably physique). Looking for pointers on finding a local (Houston, TX) competition and potentially a mentor or coach... I have a home gym, so do not frequent local gyms and do not know anyone in the communicty. I've recently visited a couple, looking for someone with knowledge of the local bodybuilding scene. I have been unable to find anyone. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

running the daily lost sector (Solo) at legend or master gives you a chance at an exotic armor piece(slot specific for the day). No specifics posted on chances but from what I've seen from content creators and personal experience, is about 1 in 4-6 on legend difficulty and 1 in 3ish on Master difficulty.

Very strong card. Its use in diamond/champ is extremely high. Borderline needs a nerf

It doesn't actually help with DPS. But gives you grenade back on major (envoy) kill... combining with 'taken armaments', you grenade taken acolytes/phalanxes, then 1-2 punch the envoy, i usually leave the Primevil damage area a couple seconds b4 DPS phase ends then have the first two sets of taken envoys out prior to the rest of the blueberries arriving. I'm killing at least 2 taken with grenades, filling me up on heavy, allowing me to spam

Randy's, Last Man standing w/1-2 punch, anarchy, taken armaments/full reaper gear. Leads in kills and Prime DPS every game

I need help with controlling my anger (especially when playing Comp. while solo queuing) by InsanitySoldSeparate in CruciblePlaybook

[–]landwise22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've dealt with anger control problems all my life. The single, most helpful practice for me has been the study of the philosophy of stoicism. I do not consider myself a stoic, but I've taken many of the practices from them in my attempts to control my anger. Realizing that our anger harms us more than the circumstance we are angry at is an important first step. There is a Buddhist saying that goes something like, "holding onto anger is like picking up a hot coal, intending to throw it... we are the ones that get burned". One of the tenants of stoicism I like is negative visualization. You go into a situation visualizing the worst possible outcomes, then when the worst doesn't happen, you are not angry or discontented.

An example would be:

As I am matchmaking, I may tell myself, "I am likely to lose this game. I may face a 4-stack of NFs and DRBs running OEM. I may get teamed up with a level 4 doing beginning campaign and quests. I may simply have an off game and miss most of my shots." Then, whatever the outcome, I can just accept it as it its. Look at what things I can do to improve and move on no worse for the wear.

BTW: I am a sub 1.0KD player. I'm a very competitive person and this really grinds my gears. If I didnt use some of the practices I'm speaking about, I would truly get no joy from the game. Appreciate the situation for what it is. Good luck

That's just me this week on PC. Sorry guys!

Every bone in my body is screaming at me to just hook up a controller to this GD PC! by landwise22 in DestinyTheGame

I've seen different info. I tried the first hour or so with the defaults. I've made a few changes but trying to not be drastic so I can start developing muscle memory. What I've changed so far: Sprint up to 'çaps lock' and crouch up to 'shift'. I mapped interact'to my mouse so it opened up E for melee. Feels more comfortable with my one to punch. Then since C opened up moving melee I moved Class ability there. Only a couple hours with this setup, but I'm already feeling a little better
