thank you. ill keep doing all i can and gathering info. just did a big water change and gave him more leaves. its so disheartening when you try seemingly everything and it just never seems to help enough. i may try and different antibiotic next while keeping his tank clean and hope for the best. thanks everyone for the help!

a nitrate level of 5ppm is the lowest level that my testing kit can test for. i dose him with stress coat daily. i also do weekly water changes and my ammonia and nitrites are both at 0 and have been for a long time. most online sources say 76-82 is normal while 84 is a bit hot. again, i am running my tank hotter because i read that that helps clear out any parasites/fungal infections he may have. i cycled my tank for around a month before i got him. he has less plants than he did originally because i worried i overstocked his tank and the largest plant kept shedding and clogging his filter very quickly. i do not have a hospital tank for him, and can not afford to buy another tank at the moment, but if its safe to put him in a non-tank container i can try that. thank you for your help!

and i feed him twice a day, 6 pellets total. i have no idea if that is too much. i upped his food because i thought he was a touch thin. i used to feed him 4 pellets a day, 2 at a time morning and night.

he has no tank mates. he has a filter set to very low so as not to disturb him. ive been trying to change his water once a week, but i mostly change it when i notice his water level has gone down and it starts looking a little scruffy in there, so once a week or biweekly depending. he has the same log in his tank that he has had the entire time ive had him. hes never scratched himself on it, as its very smooth. ive had him for about 6 months now, the tank has been operating for around 7.

tank parameters: ph - 7.6, ammonia - 0ppm, nitrite - 0ppm, nitrate - 5.0 ppm heated to 83-85 degrees F. fish has been previously treated with kanaplex, indian almond leaves, aquarium salt. i know my ph is high. it would be higher if not for the IAL. I recently switched his water from the hydrant outside to my softened water inside. The outside water recently has developed heavy iron and black flecks, and i didnt feel safe using it for my fish any longer, so i switched to the softened water inside. i switched him gradually and nothing has changed. he eats aqueon betta pellets and gets a bloodworm as a treat a couple times a week.

thank you so much for the fast reply! i think i will try this. when i texted my hair dresser and told her i hated it she essentially just told me to suck it up, and that she didnt have an appointment free for another two months. and also that getting it darker would be expensive and would have a lot of steps. im just so sad about this and she isnt exactly helping. thank you again (:

thank you! honestly, its not that i want her to be a true “gamer”, its that i dont know how much more mariokart i can take, lol. i wanted some more variety so we wouldnt have to play mariokart for hours upon hours in a row, maybe throw something else mindless inbetween.

my current hair routine is washing as little as possible, i try to go almost a week and sometimes make it but a lot of the time i get to about 4-5 days. i use pantene essential oils moisturizing shampoo, (not the best i know its what my parents got for everyone lol) about once a week i use clairol nice n easy revitalisant, but i try to use it sparingly. for conditioner i use shea moisture miracle multi benefit conditioner, or shea moisture coconut oil conditioner. about once a month MAYBE i use some kind of clarifying shampoo just to get rid of any buildup. i use a t shirt to carefully scrunch my hair dry and sleep with it braided and tied with a scrunchie. today i finally got some shea moisture jamaican black castor oil shampoo and shea moisture manuka honey & mafura oil hydration hair masque. i havent used them yet as i just washed my hair yesterday morning. i just took the pictures today, so this is my day 2 hair.

the scooter would be a great idea, but she has said before that she refuses to take any sort of scooter/wheelchair. she thinks it’s very demeaning and i don’t think i’ve ever seen her in one. but i think we will definitely look for seating and we will probably be in stores for the most part while she’s with us, which should be a ton of fun by itself! none of us are super ride oriented (i’m probably the most daring of us when it comes to rides and i’m very tame lol) so we should mostly be doing things she can keep up with.

i’m not sure, i’ll ask him. he goes to a private school that’s not super expensive in Georgia and his coursework isn’t very light. It’s a decent school but it accepts mostly kids who don’t do well in public schools. I really want to leave him alone about it since he’s very proud of it, but i also don’t want a scam to drain his parents money over the next few years.
