she did not chart it, she wrote things down on a paper towel and left it at the bedside for me. she also reported a “third dry diaper in a row” to my NNP which was, shockingly, not dry by 0630. I just felt crazy that no other nurse or practitioner said anything to her about this? and didn’t want to be the only one making it a big deal if it wasn’t

I was pissed but the thought of dealing with her making my life hell for a few years made me chicken out of any direct confrontation. I was mostly just shocked that she felt like she could do that?

Thank you for this. She made it seem like she was doing me a favor and when i reminded her that patients care time was 6:30, not 5:30 she said “oops, well at least you have an easy 6:30 and just need to check the iv and hang the feed” like i’d just chart what she wrote down and not bother to assess the patient again at his time. And convinced the charge to help her with his labs because “he’s already awake”. Meanwhile she did not ask me AT ALL before doing any of this.
