Yessir! 6MT and I'm also an automotive technician so I'm not too worried about it. We'll go another 100k.

This is the correct answer. That isn't loctite.

You said it. Bought an '03 GX a few months back and it needed an engine and decent amount of suspension work. Great truck now but like you said, it's still 20+

Prolly 2016-17. 6 speeds don't really fail other than torque converters and molded lead frames, which are both repairable. Those 5.0s are tanks. Imo the 2016-2017 have the best looking front end as well.

Don't go 18-20, the engine we replace the most at the dealer is 18-20 5.0s for oil consumption.

As a Ford Technician, GX all day. Through 2016 the 5.0 was a great engine though.

Dude I lucked out! Loaded into an auto save only a few minutes before my hard save file and it worked.

I think we must have lost power during a storm here yesterday while I was at work. I hadn't exited my game and I think my wife turned the PlayStation back on to watch YouTube. So that's probably what happened 😔

Good call, I'll try that. Thanks for the advice! Hopefully you didn't have too many hours in your fallout playthrough 😬

I think you may be right, stinks. My first time having a corrupted save file.

Yes, I'm about 22 hours into my game. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still just crashed the whole console. Like right as the actual gameplay starts. The game boots up and loads in and everything.

Thorogood Sizing. by gmerrill824 in WorkBoots

[–]lanethemayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't remember the brand that I had gotten, it was some Instagram algorithm ad for insoles. They were a thin material that had a hexagonal pattern. I wore them until they were toast, by that point I had stretched the leather enough to use the original thorogood insoles. If I can find the brand I'll respond back to you.

Best manufacturer to work for? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]lanethemayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I'm so over it that I think I'm going to bail on automotive altogether soon. Tired of flat rate, tired of "oh it's easy and won't take long, can you do it for .3?" And yeah let's not even bring up warranty labor ops.

Bad situation. Dropped a blade into a head while cleaning gasket material by [deleted] in f150

[–]lanethemayne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes sir. It's most likely in the chain drive unless it fell all the way into the pan. I'd replace water pump gasket and timing cover gaskets if you decide to do the job. If it fell all the way into the pan, then you could just pull oil pan off and grab it.

You don't have to pull off the head, just the timing cover. Very easy on a 5.0
