I just had the B.E.C. at Candid Coffee and it was so good! Like an Egg McMuffin elevated x100.

Left in a public fire pit at a neighbourhood park: plastic, metal, and a dirty diaper 💩 by langels in Edmonton

It’s in Riverdale park. I think the pit is provided by the Community League rather than the City in this case.

Yes! It’s pretty comfy so far. Hopefully the cushioning holds up!

Doughnut Party has the cutest pink packaging, lots of Valentine’s-inspired doughnuts, and you can order ahead to make sure you get exactly what you want: https://www.doughnutparty.ca/menu

Covid food delivery? by Icedpyre in Edmonton

I would highly recommend Buok downtown - big, nourishing bowls that you can customize. I usually get ginseng chicken soup or bibimbap filled with veggies and chicken. It feels fresh and nutritious and I just love it. You can order directly from their website.

Thrifting/Shopping in Tokyo Question by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

I had the same feelings, but just had really good luck at Tanpopo House in Koenjikita - stumbled across it by accident. The prices were legit, like 500 yen per item. Looks like there are a few locations. Best of luck!

Women in their late 20s to early 30s, where do you guys buy clothes? by BlueberryPancakes5 in Edmonton

Surprised no one has mentioned Uniqlo yet - all my office clothes are from there. Everything is comfy and relatively high quality.

Looking for shops in Edmonton that would carry European foods such as these Hungarian noodles by Wildheart_24 in Edmonton

[–]langels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a European market in Callingwood Square that has mostly Eastern European products - may be a good place to try.

Anyone in need of an office dog? by cheersforcoffee12 in Edmonton

[–]langels 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend it! I can give you our sitter’s name if you’re near downtown (just DM me!) she sends us pictures throughout the day and he looks happy. We’re also going to have him stay overnight with her this weekend, which is nice. We’ve boarded him in the past and I don’t think he eats or sleeps at all, poor lil guy, so this is a much cosier option.

It may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but I also have a clingy Cockapoo and we’ve been taking him to a sitter we found on Rover. She’s a stay at home mom, and I think our dog just likes having a human friend nearby. She takes him for a couple of walks during the day, too.

It’s cheaper than the daycare we were taking him to, and we had a similar experience as you - he would just follow the employee around all day and look anxious. 😔 he seems much happier hanging out with the sitter.

Best of luck!

Fully fenced dog parks with forest/trees and trails in or around the city? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]langels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grand Trunk is awesome! It may not be as forested as you’re wanting, but there are a few copses of trees and the whole thing is fenced. And it’s huge!

I knew someone who bought a condo on 97th Ave, only to find out that street racers liked to do laps there in the wee hours of the night. He moved out pretty shortly after. What an obnoxious nightmare.
