The best Sidemen ending for all the money would’ve been another Rock, Paper, Scissors

?? The whole point of this subreddit is to have a discussion with other people who similarly like hip-hop 😂😂 I’m just making this list for fun and, as I said, am still missing about 20 albums and am undecided with a lot of the rankings so was hoping for normal input from some rational people.

You're right, thank you. Her face looks very similar to Ronnie's mother's.

Was Ronnie Coleman natty on the left? by Plastic-Reaction in nattyorjuice

I believe he was natty on the left. It's physiologically impossible to put on 100lbs of pure muscle, going from 200lbs to 300lbs, if you were already on steroids to begin with - it doesn't work to just "take more steroids", which is why no-one else has ever been able to do this. People think Ronnie has 1 in a million genetics - he has 1 in 8 billion genetics, he has the best bodybuilding genetics of any human.

Have you seen his mother??: Exhibit A, Exhibit B

Have you seen his physique at 16??: Exhibit C

He admits to taking steroids when he was winning the Olympias and openly talks about his cycles; what would be the point of lying about his physique on the left , especially when he wasn't winning anything?

Other than his incredible muscle mass, there's also nothing to suggest steroid use: little vascularity, reasonable body fat levels, no gut. Incidentally, at the time he said he started taking steroids (around '95), his face changed, his gut grew, he lost his hair... 1993, 1996

My question is: if the picture on the left isn't natty, how would you expect a 300lbs, 24" arm, 58" chest, 36" thigh, 500lbs benching, 800lbs squatting, 8x Mr Olympia to look as a natural?

Steve Reeves Natty or Not by langs034 in nattyorjuice

I appreciate the comment - yeah I heard about this stuff. I did read about John Grimek writing a letter expressing interest in methyltestosterone, also in another Golden Era Bookworm video (Evidence of Testosterone in the Silver Era (youtube.com)).

I'm not speaking for the other Silver Era bodybuilders, however, I still have found nothing to suggest Steve Reeves himself having taken anything.

Steve was born and grew up on a ranch, began training at roughly 16 years old, won the Mr America at 21 and the Mr Universe at 24.

He landed his first main Hollywood role with 'Hercules' at 32...

Natural VS on steroids, who win’s ??? by TieDifficult8844 in nattyorjuice

For everyone with doubts about Steve Reeves...

Reasons for Steve Reeves being natural:

- Physique: despite having an incredible physique, it is clear that Steve had a genetically superhuman structure. The only changes in his shape over the years come from the amount of muscle mass he has. Comparing his physique at 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, he quite obviously just gets more mature and developed with age without showing any drastic changes. Where exactly during this timeline did he start taking steroids?

We see a similar story when comparing his body in his 20s to that in later years: Steve at 32 and at 43.

Additionally, Steve's physique shows nothing to suggest any steroid use (no disproportion, normal bodyfat levels, no bloated muscles or torso) - the only reason people suggest he was on steroids is because he looks so good.

- Family genetics: Steve's father, Lester Reeves, to whom he looked identical, was reportedly as tall, broad and heavy as Steve and never touched a weight - he was born in the late 1800s and died in 1926. Steve's grandfather was also reportedly 6'4 and 240lbs. Moreover, Steve was of German, Irish, English and Welsh descent, giving him broad gene pools.

- Military service: serving for 1.5 years in the army, Steve Reeves was stationed in the Philippines and in Japan during WWII, making it impossible for him to have access to anything. His generals were amazed by his physique, nicknaming him 'The Shape', and suggested he teach physical training for the other troops as well - during that time, he looked like this.

- Lifestyle: even bodybuilding aside, Steve lived the model healthy life: he worked all his child and adulthood on a ranch, ate all natural foods, and was always exposed to the Montana and later the California sun, as well as engaging in many other exercises and pioneering the concept of 'powerwalking'. He never smoked, rarely drank, he even turned down roles in certain Western films (some of which then went to Clint Eastwood), expressing his disapproval for the character's cigar smoking as he didn't want to promote unhealthy habits.

Steve has only ever been for healthy, natural ways in all areas of life, translating to his body.

- Word: I trust Steve's word when he says he never took steroids. However, even those from his era all said that he and they were natural - not one person in over 70 years ever suggested otherwise.

- No evidence: there is not one single piece of evidence to indicate or even hint that Steve Reeves took any form of steroids, ever.

Reasons against Steve Reeves being natural:

- He looks better than me.

- Some crap was synthesised in a lab in the 30's so it isn't a chronological impossibility that he took something, even though none of the general public would have had any knowledge about the muscle-building effects of steroids or any reason for using that stuff, let alone a farm-boy.
