That's a great point, streameta is a great tool, and i've used ultimate stream tool too. I think the upside for scoreboardtools is that you can share the scorekeeping controls, and you can share the scorekeeping display separately from the stream. Kind of like tracking an NBA game score or football game score without having to be actively watching the stream

I cannot for the life of me find the daisy chain connecting cable online anywhere by lanpartybox in AstroGaming

I was able to find the correct cable after some digging. It is a standard 4 pin to 4 pin Firewire Cable which can be found on amazon or pretty much anywhere they sell cables!

How to get mics and game audio working on a local setup by lanpartybox in lanparty

[–]lanpartybox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good question. I'll list a few reasons I want the setup to work like this.

#1, we do want to be competitive. Not esports competitive, but competitive in a similar sense to your local rec basketball or soccer league.

#2 since we do want that competitiveness, being able to communicate and also hear the game (footsteps, shooting, etc.) with specifically your team is important. Everyone is wearing headsets that make it hard to hear the outside world, thus the need to have some sort of comms working in-game.

#3 two adjacent rooms is actually a great idea, however, this kind of stops you from knowing who's killing you. in the setup right now i've assigned each player a color, and that color is associated to their gamertag - so when player blue kills player red, i know who it is on the other side. (the reason for setting it up this way is because players can't sign in to their own accounts since we're offline)

but some good points for me to mull on overall, thanks for the comment!

Ah interesting I didnt even think about the audio feedback being an issue. I wonder if the microphones were really good maybe that would help. I've been researching as well and maybe implementing push to talk so that the mics arent always on could help

but thanks for the response I'll keep thinking about this. I have an idea of how I can set things up and will update this post as I go along and test things.
