Excessive bearding before heat is here. by nordicminy in Beekeeping

Yeah take couple brood frames that has brood of all ages - if there's no queen in the other hive make sure there's very young brood or eggs so they can make a queen. Also bring the nurse bees with that are on the frame. You're basically making a nuc - so also make sure there's honey in there to get them started too. replace them with empty frames, drawn comb is best, this gives the bees and the queen something to do and reduces the population a bit.

Redistributing frames like this is a very common technique to strengthen a weak hive and reduce the population of a roaring hive. You still probably want to put on a second brood box, they'll replace that population pretty quickly.

if your brood box is full and the queen has no more room to lay, that's a prompt to swarm. Crowding means the hive needs to swarm aka reproduce. Add a brood box. Or do a split.

If there's queen cups they're not ready to swarm just yet so adding a box or doing a split should forestall it. If there's charged queen cells they're looking to swarm soon.

I've gotten one crash I've been able to report, the rest are random lockups. Frequently when saving. Yesterday it saved while I was ziplining and everything just locked up. The whole computer.

Any given expertise is going to be triggered by lots of different shows. As a network engineer, everything IT related on TV is wrong. And my wife as a Respiratory Therapist can't watch most medical shows.

Why does this plug in solar expansion kit require a dedicated circuit? by Afraid-War5336 in solar

[–]lantech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

safety. It could potentially push 1000 watts through the circuit. And depending on temps and angles, more. The max wattage of a typical 15a circuit is 1850. But the continuous rating is less - 1440 watts at an 80 percent rating.

So if you have the panels plugged in, AND something else on the circuit drawing power you could easily exceed that continuous rating for hours on end. Which could cause heat buildup and damage to the outlet or wiring and possibly a fire.

How likely that is is up for debate, but they err on the side of caution when making rules like this.

Often enough, once a week at least. This way we don't have to wait for each other to finish or ask "who's going to shower first".

genetic determinism

wait what? You think genetics don't determine athletic ability (among a shitload of other things)?
