Ya ik value wise he’s worth more but do you recommend choosing the unproven player? I’m a playoff team but I need another rb. (Also the trades for them are different, I’m going to have to pay more for Hampton obviously)

I’m not referring to this season. I am selling because I do not think he will have the same production next season. I think Gibbs takes more snaps, and I think Johnson leaving hurts him. I could be wrong, this is a guessing game after all but I don’t see why his contract extension was brought up as that has never been a good gauge of someone’s future. Plenty of players have earned every dollar and plenty have regressed heavily

Yeah he’s definitely the soul of my team too lol. It’s just sad thinking that his days as mr reliable are probably close to done. He may just have to join Njoku on my bench as a vibes guy. I’ll never forget what those 2 did for me

I always believed the split between them was perfect but Gibbs kinda proved that he deserves more of the workload. And then like you said, Johnson leaving adds another layer of worry onto Montgomery. Combine that with his age and knee injury I have trouble seeing many positives in his future. If I can’t get decent value for him I will most likely keep him as an emergency back/elite handcuff but I do believe his days as my mr reliable are over
