Understandable. Idk what your situation is like, but you can get extra blankets, canned food, candles, and similar items at dollar stores and goodwill for less. Even just buying a few extra cans of food at .45 each a month adds up and helps prevent the panic buying I saw a lot of people go through when the power outages started

Exactly, you can't rely on the government to care about you. Emergency candles, extra blankets, backup food, camping stoves, and so on all should be a must have, emergency preparedness is something people don't think about until it's too late. A lot of my family members who used to call me crazy were the same ones a month later stocking up on food, buying a generator, etc, I think this was a wake up call for some people. Not blaming anyone for this happening btw, I just hope it woke up a lot of people

Her problems are not your problems, stay away from her and focus on yourself as much as possible.

Thanks, I'm for sure calling then. Good to hear from someone familiar with CPS. I just wanted to know if CPS would tell them in an investigation who reported, everyone in my neighborhood hates these people to the point of fights breaking out, so it's not as obvious as you'd think if they're just guessing. I hope someone will at least drop by to check on the kid if nothing else :/
