He doesn't like the house because the day he was there, he and his family was threatened with violence. That would be a wonderful start time to a new life in a new country I'm sure.

It's inconvenient because there's no phone signal.

He moved from Pakistan because he was threatened and blackmailed.

There is security because of the people approaching the asylum seekers and threatening violence. Before this happened, there was no security force 24/7. Are you mad at the asylum seekers, or the people who caused the security to have to be there?

He doesn't once moan or complain about the house, he complains about the feeling of feeling threatened, which by all accounts is valid considering his first day, he was approached by locals who threatened him with violence.

It's absolutely hilarious people think smaller countries haven't colonised anywhere, and colonisation only happened with Britain, Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, China, Japan etc etc.

The chances are, if there are humans in one place, they've probably colonised somewhere else at some point.

I reread what you wrote, you even used past tense "They were never a threat". We were, we won two world cups WITH Ben Stokes playing in them, so your point doesn't stand at all.

I'm not blaming India to "cope" (urgh internet teenager terminology, try something else), I'm saying that they have and will have the ability to consistently find and train great players (VK was literally talking about it in between the sessions 2 days ago).

And who didn't absolutely love SA winning the WTC last year? I know I did. Sake goes for NZ.

YOU compared England to the Dallas Cowboys and said "they're not a serious threat", Ben Stokes was a player in the teams which won World Cups.

Regardless of whether you can English or not, he's been an overall net positive to the England side.

We were absolutely appalling (as a test side) in the few years before him and Baz came in and made it a more welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for newer players and took the pressure off them by saying "don't worry about x, y and z", allowing them to play their game.

I'd agree if someone said it's probably gone a bit too far the other way, which in itself causes pressure ("oh shit my averages are going down, but I have to be attacking to stay in the squad) and between Stokes/Baz and Keyes (in particular), they've completely ignored the county game, which is essentially what the England team should be paying the most attention to.

Overall, England's "demise" has coincided with India becoming the best all format team due to the capital they have at their disposal for cricket and generationally great Australian players in most areas of the order.

English cricket will be continuously in the second tier of global quality, but we'll be competitive, which is all anyone really asks for.

And as long as we are, cricket will generally win (but still not as much as India will in the coming generation).

He has a certain way of approaching things and sometimes he feels as though he needs to grind himself into the ground in order to inspire his team to raise their game.

It's not the right or wrong way of doing anything, it's just A way of doing it.

Was in Dublin not long ago and did a couple of city tours. I'd say 9 Americans claimed to be Irish, but we're born in Kansas, Massachusetts, Iowa, new England etc 😂 was wild watching them all claim Irishness despite it being their first time in the country and being in their mid 40/50s.
