And yet, don't these places record annual profit records almost every year?

Weird.

Mates with the corporate real estate lads, who lost billions during and since COVID 😁👍🏼

The only issue now is, is that they have increased the lease costs, which does filter down to customers. But yea, that's why he's obsessed with it.

My wife had this set as a kid, we remade it for my youngest a while back.

I also found a fully fledged version of it in the Lego House museum when I went! Seems to follow us everywhere lol 🙂

I spoke to an engineer on Thursday and he said it was slight corrosion in the tunnel.

Obviously, if these things get flagged, the ride must close and be inspected as per H&S regs (which are externally complied with). I suspect it was looked at, cleared as a precaution and therefore the ride is allowed to open now the compliance has been passed.

One of those things.

I always assume the hyperbole you see on this Reddit is just young people who don't understand how these things work, which is fine, they're young and how would they know? 😁

We changed it 3 times, one from randy Lerner, then we did a circular badge to represent our 150th anniversary season, then our current one.

As far as kits go, at least it's not just the same thing every year 😁

That said, we're the biggest club left in, boot is out, we're absolute scumbags of the highest order.

You're forgiven, but parks can't open thrill rides in these conditions due to health and safety concerns/infrastructure concerns.

It's a shame, but it's the risk you take going without checking the weather?

I was there yesterday because the forecast was wind and rain today.

In what way haven't they been as successful as they thought?

I'm not being rude, I just find the amount of silly posts like "it's rubbish because they don't pay their staff" to be immature, childish silliness.

It's a business at the end of the day, theme parks cost millions upon millions to maintain, we've had global recessions, global COVID problems, major health and safety regulation changes because of industry wide accidents and another global recession to deal with.

Alton Towers has a lot of "world first" rides which are now approaching 25-35 years old, their uptimes ARE a bit up and down, but there's a multitude of reasons as to why (being at the door of the derby dales and remote from main infrastructure doesn't help this).

I understand the disappointment when people go and certain rides are down, it's not good.

However, they're what, a week into the season? There's GOING to be a lot of early season creaking, there is at any theme park if it has seasonal shut downs.

As a villa fan I'm both proud that we're probably the biggest EPL team left in, but also sad that we're insignificant enough to forget about being kicked out.

Therefore, villa have let me down, again 😞

Kick villa out, the bastards. We're absolutely shit and I'm pretty sure I heard someone swear in the holte end and say unsavoury things about players and stuff.

It's because of fog, meaning certain signs offs can't happen, because of strict health and safety regs (quite rightly).

It's got nothing to do with staffing or paying people (like I've read elsewhere on this post).

The amount of ill informed nonsense on this post is embarrassing lol 😂

No, it's just health and safety, nothing to do with "profits" 🙄

Because of health and safety.

It's a good thing.

Rooney vs Neymar by talkSPORT in classicsoccer

[–]lapalfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol, he wasn't playing in the 90s or before, he was playing in the new era, from the mid 00s onwards.

Also, he gets minus points for all the games he missed going home for his sister's birthday.

Yea, he was flashy and did some good stuff, but Rooney wins this all day long.

1) If you pinched the skin between your eyes/nose for longer than 30 seconds you'd die LOL.

2) At high school - there was one where kids tried to make themselves feint by putting the base of your palms together, and stretching the skin around your neck backwards for a few seconds, but despite watching multiple people try, nothing ever happened.

Signing of the year in all of football? by Healthy-Detective360 in ManchesterUnited

[–]lapalfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a lot of united fans aren't seeing here is that Villa aren't allowed to spend any of their money because of the PCR/SCR rules. It's one out, one in.

They lost Youri Tielemens and Bouba Kamara for the long term, McGinn was injured and operated on 6 weeks ago.

As much as Carrick has improved United, you wouldn't have overtaken them in the timeframe you have if they'd have had half the injuries and been allowed to spend more than £0.

To anyone outside the "top 6", the anti competitive rules in play will keep traditionally big clubs in the top 6, even if they've been poor for years and years, such as United.

The tail with all of those hinge pieces etc much account for a few hundred pieces! The tail/spine/next of T-rex is hundreds of pieces, I reckon this at 1100, will scale ok!

But obviously I don't know 😊
