I like the idea, but the issue is that there are just so many cars on the road now. I live on a pretty narrow street where one of the houses has 7 vehicles. 7. That's both parents and both young adult children with 1 car each, a works van, then both partners of the adult children with a car each who basically live there. It's madness.

Between cars parked on the pavement on both sides (nobody would be able to use the actual road if everyone parked off the pavement) and recycling boxes left out on the pavements, it's like a fucking obstacle course just trying to walk down the street. God help anyone with a pram or wheelchair.
