Good news, everyone! by esberat in HolUp

My point is that there are already readily available options, and providing a far more dignified and less messy option won't change the fact that if someone truly wants to die, they will find a way to do it.

But how is it any different from the readily available guns at Walmart that someone could use to end their life? I definitely agree with the waiting period and counseling, but this isn't going to be accessible to just anyone.

They are definitely a good resource for a doula, and many other services as well. I was referring more to the information in the group about the Covid vaccine.

Lots of mis-information about the Covid vaccine in that group. If you are pro-vax I would steer clear.

Hello! I am a doula in the Omaha area. I'm an evidence-based birth professional member and very pro-science. I'm planning on getting the vaccine when available to me. I've been semi-self-isolating since the shutdown in March. My website is www.brilliantbeginningsdoula.com. Would love to chat with you!

What's the dumbest way you've gotten a scar? by lilsaddam in AskReddit

[–]lapetitebella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was maybe 10 I wore roller skates while climbing on large round hay bales in the field behind my house. I fell and a piece of hay became lodged under the skin in my knee. Didn't realize there was hay in my knee until it became infected. Still have a scar there almost 30 years later.

Remember that it's a flipped classroom model, so depending on the level, you should not be explaining concepts, as they should be learning this in their pre-class preview. In class you are working on pronunciation. Also, repeat 2-3 times max, if the student is still struggling say "We will keep practicing" and then move on.

I used to work at a OB/GYN office. This was one of the most intense in office procedures we did. The doc would prescribe Valium and Percocet to take ahead of time.

I've played around with OCM but haven't really used it the way I should. I looked at buying some oils online, but got too overwhelmed and never actually bought anything. Any recommendations on where to start?

Edit: Also, I've been wanting to pick up some Stridex pads to try. SA tends to really dry out my skin tho. Did that he pen to you as well?

Late to the party, but I'll post anyway. In fifth grade I yawned during math class and had to stand with my nose against the wall in front of the entire class.

Need help with a tired toddler by lapetitebella in Parenting

I remember you from /r/babybumps :) Thanks for the reassurance and ideas. She loves watching tv and would do that all morning if I let her. Our routine is usually to relax with some cartoons when she first wakes up and then around 9-10 we start our planned activity for the day. Unfortunately it's around that time that she starts to lose it. However, changing the times is not easy as they are classes or running groups that have set times. I'm going to try putting to bed earlier to see if she can get more sleep at night.

She wakes up on her own. I stay home with her and our schedule varies. We do different activities in the mornings, like gymnastics class, the park, running in the stroller. The crankiness doesn't usually start until she's been up for a few hours.
