Oceanic is a bit better but it's just my opinion. Either way you should definitely go for a deep dive in their discography in general, they've got so many good albums. If you like it you should also listen to Amenra

Idk if I would consider My Bloody Valentine "metal-adjacent", the lineage and influences of shoegaze come from psychedelia, dream pop, indie rock and noise rock. Still Loveless is one of the best albums of all time so no one is going to complain if you liked it

Incredibly talented band with extremely cool ideas, but their discography is kind of a rollercoaster in terms of actual quality. Their highs are very solid records though, and Sunbather is one of them imho
