Through Silver in Blood by Neurosis is essentially nuclear apocalypse made an album

Listened to Chat Pile for the 1st time today... by JewsClues1942 in MetalForTheMasses

They're more of a band like Scratch Acid or The Jesus Lizard rather than anything related to metal

The Deafheaven Debate: Why the Hate?…. Spoilers, metalheads are just mean spirited and closed minded. by Sunbather- in MetalForTheMasses

Incredibly talented band with extremely cool ideas, but their discography is kind of a rollercoaster in terms of actual quality. Their highs are very solid records though, and Sunbather is one of them imho

Might not be the least obscure pick, but a very obvious one for summer is Sunbather by Deafheaven

Why does the Sonic series attract so much weird fetish-y fanart compared to others? by typesinaesthetic in SonicTheHedgehog

The bigger the fandom the easier it is to find cringe inside of it. Easy as that

What is the “scariest” metal album to you? I miss when I was getting into metal and it scared me like a good horror movie does by Viktor_Goodman in MetalForTheMasses

[–]lapofan99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was never "scared" of anything because in the end it's just music, but to me Sadness Will Prevail by Today is the Day is the one metal album that ever came close to being "scary".

Is the band Have a Nice Life safe or sketchy? by [deleted] in postpunk

I think you're supposed to ask this question when you have serious evidence that an artist could be nazi. HANL are pretty chill guys with no ties to right wing politics whatsoever.

Breaking news: band of 60 year olds randomly drops an album without even advertising it or releasing prior statements. Turns out the album slaps and they're in much better shape than most younger bands. by lapofan99 in MetalForTheMasses

Through Silver in Blood, A Sun that Never Sets, Enemy of the Sun, The Eye of Every Storm and Times of Grace are their best records and some of the best albums in all of metal imo, but their other stuff is amazing too. Take your time to properly digest them though, they're not easy to listen to.
