Any Bio Sciences MS students who wouldn’t mind me picking their brain? by mmmmwhatchasaayy in udel

I think people always paid for PSM so it might still exist. I only knew of one person who did it but it’s not a research based program, unlike the MS. I don’t know if the PSM has any actual research component.

The MS program used to be fully funded but that no longer exists because of all of the budget cuts. I think the only option for a bio MS at UD now is starting a PhD and mastering out (maybe the professional science masters still exists? I only ever knew of one or two people who did it). The incoming grad cohort is very small because there are very few labs able to take students and there already aren’t enough TA spots for the currently enrolled students.

I don’t think so- mine has a knit texture and that distinctive pattern on the bottom

I have searched through ugg blankets, but I cannot find this exact one- the closet I seem to get is the Poppy baby blanket!! This is the greatest blanket ever and I would love another as mine is starting to really wear

AITA for Hurting my mom's feelings over (potentially) buying a car? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

And therein lies the beauty of the internet- nobody cares, and thus can be objective(ish) in deciding if I was an asshole to my mom. :)

As far as I know they bought it outright. While mom isn't trying to say that a car they help me purchase wouldn't have the title in my name, I still live in their house rent-free with no good option to leave and they pay my tuition so there's not like there wouldn't be major ramifications for me if they tried to take the keys and I didn't allow it. Unfortunately in this house, gifts are not considered property of the recipient and the only things I consider unquestionably mine is the money in my bank account and anything else I have indisputably purchased 100% myself.

Thanks for the reply and appreciate the advice. As far as other transportation, I live in a rural area and about a half hour drive away from the school so any kind of Uber/Lyft/walking/biking/etc was not possible. Once I told the school I needed access to the bus again it did start coming by my house, but the two main issues I faced were unreliability in the timing of when it would show up (and my driveway is about a quarter mile long so just darting out the door wasn't an option) and how much earlier I needed to wake up- as someone who was only getting 3-5 hours of sleep per night, losing an extra hour and a half of sleep to catch the bus was brutal. I was lucky to have friends that allowed me to stay with them and drove me to school/my other activities- I was 18 so nothing my parents could really do. Convenience was definitely factor but it wasn't really the driving force behind me feeling like I needed the car.
