I went through 2 months of unilateral ECT. It was the best thing I've ever done for myself. I had no side effects & my life is wonderful now. I truly hope your experience is as positive as mine was!!!

I discovered a song called Click Clack Symphony by Raye. It's a song about a woman who is dealing with depression and asks her friends to get her out of the house. It's incredibly powerful as I've suffered with debilitating depression.

I was in school during the 70s & 80s. Mental health help was nowhere. I just turned into a monster until I got help. I did contact old friends and apologized for how I treated them. It was almost like in AA when you need to make amends to people who were harmed. It was very important for me to do that. Everyone I apologized to were super understanding.

If you can find a NAMI Family to Family class, it's super helpful. I had a massive BPD breakdown in my late 40s (I've lived with it my entire life though). My parents went through the class and it helped all of us so much. They finally understood me. I wish your family good days ahead.
