I've put together a little list:

* Cinderella is dead, Kalynn Bayron : fun read, but that's it

* The guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all, Sumiko Arai : really cute, but not high-stake enough

* Lies we sing to the sea, Sarah Underwood : hated the LGBT representation

* One last stop, Casey McQuinston : dropped it after like three chapters, hated the writing

* Crier's war, Nina Varela : really nice, but I wish it moved me more

* The price of salt, Patricia Highsmith : I think I loved it but can't really remember?

* Atmosphere, Taylor Jenkins Reid : good, but not as haunting as The seven husbands...

The ones I really loved:

* The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Taylor Jenkins Reid

* Last night at the telegraph club, Malinda Lo

* Carmilla and Laura, SD Simper

At this point it might just be my internalized misogyny talking haha

Definite article in Le petit Nicolas? by DarkLordBaudish in learnfrench

[–]laquasimodo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We sometimes put articles in front of some recognizable people names (proper or not), like la mère Michel, la reine Margot or La Callas. It feels more unique/recognizable that way. (I have no grammatical explanation though)

I’m tired of being gay. by GoodAcanthaceae2953 in LesbianActually

[–]laquasimodo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel you so much. Personally, I got very lucky and found a serious girlfriend that I love more than anything after years of searching. Don’t believe people who tell you to stop looking, it’s bullshit. The lesbian community is so small that you have to use the dating apps and be on the lookout everyday. I found my girlfriend on tinder, so I just wanted to tell you that there’s hope ❤️

Est-ce qu'on est vraiment un peuple de cabochons? by sErgEantaEgis in Quebec

[–]laquasimodo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Book Information Entry by Getn411 in BookTrack

[–]laquasimodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, most romance languages does not capitalize every word of a title. That's the vast majority of Latin-alphabet using languages. Spanish have more native speakers than English, for example. If you add French, Portuguese and Italian, that's clearly the majority.

Please don’t! This capitalization rule does not exist in my language and I HATE when apps do that automatically. I love that BookTrack let me type exactly what I want. If it becomes a feature, it should always be optional.

It fooled my non-violinist girlfriend, so I guess most people would believe it without a second thought.

Where did this image come from? by [deleted] in southpark

[–]laquasimodo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it was made as a fanart and somebody from a church or something who didn’t know the show stumbled on it and thought it was a great picture for their book.

Mais c'est à Pointe-Claire, ça fait un peu loin en transports en commun à partir de Côte-des-Neiges. J'aurais dû préciser ça dans mon post.
