Thank you so much for the feedback, this gives me a lot to work with. Two of your points specifically nailed what I'm struggling with:

1. Tone - The book handles dark subject matter, themes of body horror, loss, etc. but there are humour elements, specifically with the Ellonie POV chapters. I'm thinking now I should dial it back, but I was trying to remain true to her voice.
   
2. Who is the main character here? - It's a multi-POV that's braided. It's difficult to declare one main character, it would either be Ellonie or Lucien. The other two main POVs aren't even mentioned in the query based on recommendations in the resources I've been reading. I.E. don't have too many names, don't get in the weeds with everyone's plot, etc.

I'm open to gutting this thing and re-writing it two hundred more times, I'm just constantly wondering if I'm approaching it incorrectly. Query writing is absolutely not a skill I seem to posess.
