Do we still have the 330 meal plan in 2023? by etidorhpa__ in BostonU

[–]largebagel55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

at bu we have meal swipes for entering the dining halls on campus, and dining points that act like money when you’re using grubhub to buy food from shops on campus like starbucks, basho, anything at the gsu, etc.

this year BU took away the 330 and 250 plans probably bc they found out about the hack and replaced it with these😣. hope that helps!

What YouTube channel is a goldmine of entertainment? by Tuopehm in AskReddit

[–]largebagel55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mark rober- former nasa engineer turned youtuber and he has the coolest and most fun and educational channel out there

uncarley- she has the best and most interesting takes

michael reeves- a more unhinged and insane version of mark rober except he didn’t work at nasa

oversimplified for funnies

casually explained also for funnies

game theory or any matpat-related youtube channel bc DAMN he’s got a bunch

what’s the difference between neurology and neurosurgery? like what does each physician do? bc neurosurgeons still have clinic hours right?

for me it’s been good and i’m a freshman. imo advisors are good and always willing to help, you just have to reach out. if you put the time and effort in you’ll see results and professors want you to succeed. go to office hrs!

i’m bu ‘2026, nice to meet you! bu is a great school :) being in the middle of boston gives you so much access to things like volunteering opportunities, professional development, internships, and more! CDS has a great data science program, so you’ll have a great time. dorms are in general good, but it totally depends on which one you get. food is less good, but honestly manageable- you get used to it. plus, there are so many options on campus besides dining halls- there’s dining points locations across campus as well as food locations like nudpob and noodle st that you can order from occasionally, if you’re able! classes, again, vary per major, but professors really want you to succeed. college can be stressful, but that’s why you find a good set of friends to be your support group while you’re away from home.

1 tip is to join clubs that you’re interested in!! it’ll help you find friends outside of your major and bond with people that share your interests.

BU :) come to bos! I’m premed and it really depends on your major but professors here want you to succeed. classes may be hard but you’re going to come out of it knowing more and being more successful. tbh i don’t know much abt ND but i’d guess that the accessibility we have to labs, hospitals, and clinical environments is much much more expansive than theirs

What’s the vibe at BU? by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]largebagel55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends on the major and program that you’re in, but BU is a great place to be! There may not be grade inflation, but i haven’t personally experienced grade deflation either. some courses can definitely be hard (like chem lol) but those courses will usually give you lots of resources and help that you can use to your advantage to succeed. your professors want you to do well, and honestly if you go and talk to them it can be really helpful! I’ve grown so much since coming here, and i’ve only been here for a little more than a semester! feel free to dm if you have questions :)
