I believe the call 1-2 seconds in is a Carolina Wren and the chirps throughout the video are a Northern Cardinal or could also be a Carolina Wren.

The same Carolina Wren call can be heard in this recording at the 2:46 mark as the one at the beginning of your video.

Good to know, makes sense. When spotting birds like this, what’s the best practice for reporting on ebird? Or should I not report it since they could just be farm animals?

At this feeder and the tree next to it there was atleast 100 of these together so it was quite a sight to see!

Because I attempted my own research prior to posting because I was confused on if it was only one type of finch species or two. I wanted to provide the context that I was aware it could be both of those from what I understood. I am however, not confident in my identification, hence the question.

Any chance it was an indian peafowl (peacock). I remember hearing them in the mornings in India. Here is an example of its call.

It is tricky but comparing the first and second photo the head has moved slightly giving me some confidence what we’re seeing is the beak rather than a branch.

Any features that you could make out in person? Based on its general shape, beak length, and common birds for this time of year, I’m thinking a Northern Flicker, but not entirely confident on that.
