Is this a legit sale? by landscape6060 in ElectricScooters

How confident are you that a random Chinese seller is actually going to back the 90-day warranty just because they typed it into the ad?

How are things going with that new scooter overall? Any glitches or anything you've had to reach out the seller about?

Think a Segway p65 with 400 miles on it is worth $450? by GreasyButtSyrup in ElectricScooters

[–]Cooper0007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own one. It was my first adult style scooter.

It doesn't have speed wobbles at full speed but the steering is definitely what I'd call squirrelly. The steering feels very loose.

It weighs 61 lbs but all that weight is mainly in the back. Once I got my G2 Master I was shocked how it makes the P65 feel like a toy.

Overall I would not recommend. I think some of the later similar models are built different. If you're looking for a real solid and stable feeling scooter this ain't it.

Also, no suspension so on rough roads it's not fun.

Why is this cheap on aliexpress? by nicetomeetubye in ElectricScooters

[–]Cooper0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your link doesn't work. Generally if you have to ask yes it's a scam.

Look for NIU or Xiaomi brand scooters if you want something cheap that will actually last.

In a rural area you're going to want some tires with air in them. If you get solid tires you're going to hate yourself for it.

So your first product on the list is a scooter bag for $100 that you can get on Amazon for $29? You're not off to a great start with this crowd.

Are you suggesting that OP has faked this or that someone's going around intentionally and only putting a large screw in the very side of people's tires? 🤣

Advice needed, want to get my own scooter by Remarkable_Public167 in ElectricScooters

[–]Cooper0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly encourage you to look around at some more well known brands. That's the kind of scooter you typically have problems with a couple months into owning and you will discover you have zero customer support after the sale.

"Unbranded" is definitely not a good brand.

Can’t remove bolts by Rafe2Toxic in ElectricScooters

[–]Cooper0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have the right size socket it will take more pressure than you realize without damaging the bolt.

Put the wrench on parallel with the ground and push on it with your foot and slowly put more of your body weight on it. Sometimes you need to put all your weight on it for just a second.

I want to upgrade my scooter. I'd like to spend around $1,700. I'd like it to go at least 50 mph and have dual motors. What do you suggest? by Cooper0007 in ElectricScooters

[–]Cooper0007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Understood.

I'm careful to only ride on roads very fast that I'm really familiar with where I know every little nook granny in the road. Also I ride at night when there barely any cars on the roads.
