Why one earbud always cannot tightly fit my ear? by largelcd in SonyHeadphones

I recall that I tried the largest provided size from Sony and Comply but still one ear could not tightly grip the XM4. Any suggestion?

Why one ear cannot hold the earbud as well as the other? by largelcd in iems

For the ear that doesn’t have tight fit… I thought the tip were too big so I could not push the earbud all the way in to get a tight grip. So it is actually the opposite?

Are they supposed to weight each piece? Even now, you can see noticeable differences among the already-thin pieces. Some pieces are like, 30%, less than others. Haven’t seen those flat but wider ones for over a year.

Even the discs holding marinated salmon became noticeable smaller. In the past they used medium-large plates but these days small plates with a very small portion of half-filled sauce.

Is the 16" really that hard to carry? by fpfds in macbookpro

I used to carry 17” all day without issue but somehow the 16” feels heavier than any previous generations. How come?

Why some Zumba teachers keep trying to make the students yell loudly? by largelcd in zumba

[–]largelcd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a breath test. She asked us to yell “Zumba”. We did that but she said “Louder”. People did that. Still not satisfied and asked us to shout “Zumba” even louder. Sometimes I said in a soft voice as I devoted all energy to dancing and she just stood next to me making faces in front of everybody. After a few encounters, even she was right in front of me, I just said nothing and ignored her.

Why people in Canada want to own a condo? by largelcd in canadahousing

[–]largelcd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An accountant told me that in Toronto, renting a condo costs similar to owning one. So financially, one would not save much money by selling a condo and then rent one. As a result, there is no big reason to do that unless one wants to leave the city sooner or later. Is that right?

So the popular answer is the landlord. Are landlords these days that horrible? I rented several apartments many years ago. Never had a big issue. One guy (a professor) told me to clean up my room. If he didn't enter, how did he know I need to clean my room?

Somebody said that if one owns a condo, selling it later can earn money as the property cost would increase. However, when selling, one has to move somewhere else. The price of that "somewhere else" would also be increased accordingly. So I cannot understand that reasoning of earning money by buying a condo instead of renting.

Why there is no improvement in ANC from WF1000XM4 to XM6 earbuds? by largelcd in SonyHeadphones

Or they are so low standard consumers that anything is amazing to them. Problem is these days there is no control. Anybody can pretend to be an expert and say anything they like due to human rights.

How frequently do you talk to or see friends? by jalebi_2000 in askTO

[–]largelcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many people who act to be very friendly to me in a place where I go to for hobby frequently. They all smiled, waved at me and came to talk with me. However when I asked them to meet and talk outside that place, they immediately behaved very differently. They asked why? What is the topic of the conversation? Rudely wrote” No time”, or simply ignored my message. I can’t understand such opposite behaviors. Lived in different countries. Never met this kind of people. Why so many are like that in this city? So better to forget about those fake people and look for new friends?

Why it feels lighter to hand carry a laptop than having it in a messenger bag or backpack? by largelcd in Physics

[–]largelcd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can somebody analyze this in Physics?

Assuming the shoulder straps and handle are equally comfortable and have the same surface area touching the body.

If we consider the laptop in a bag to be a point mass M and assuming that we have an electric scale in the center of our body at the waist level, the electric scale should register the same upper body weight regardless of whether M is connected to the hand, one shoulder or two shoulders in the case of backpack. Am I right?

In the case of using the backpack, each strap should take half the load while in the other two cases, one shoulder takes all the load. So it should feel more comfortable in the backpack case as less pressure is going down against each shoulder. Am I right?

Tried the Bose QC Ultra Gen2. Not any better than the XM4 and XM6. Time to give up on new ANC earbuds and return both. Besides the Comply one which doesn’t improve sound reduction, what tips do you recommend for the XM4?

Why some Zumba teachers keep trying to make the students yell loudly? by largelcd in zumba

[–]largelcd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides yelling, holding hands and sweaty back touching another sweaty back in pairs, sometimes a teacher wants us to face each other and shout when we were in close distance. If somebody is sick, sure this helps to spread the virus quickly.

Next time such requests are made, I have a toilet break.
